*****Mary-Kate's POV*****
Right now,I am so sick of my father abusing Ashley,and I. We can NEVER escape this prison. We go to school acting like we're the happiest girls in the world. Nobody notices our scars,bruises,fresh cuts,ir anything. Except for our best friends,of course. Niall Horan is my beat friend. Ashley's BFF is Liam Payne. They are the only ones who know about our conditions. I woke up this Saturday,to screaming,and glass breaking. What did Ashley do today?
I slipped out of bed and peeked into the hall. Deciding it was safe,I snook into the hallway,behind the couch. Ashley was bleeding,and dad has a broken vase. Ashley ran to me,and dad decided to go to a bar.
"Oh my god Ash! What did you do?" I asked after dad had left.
"I just asked him where the remote for the television was,and he said he was watching a game!" She shrieked in pain.
"Alright,let's go to the neighbors house. I think one of her kids goes to school with us. And the mum is a nurse." We slipped on our shoes and ran to the Styles' residance.
"Hi Mrs.Styles." I greeted her,my voice shaky.
"Oh what happened Ash?" Mrs.Styles,or Anne,asked.
"Umm....our cat knocked a vase on Ashley's head while she was sleeping,and dad was out shopping." I lied through my teeth.
"You must get rid of that cat!" She shrieked fixing Ashley's head.
"Thank you,Mrs.Styles." Ashley winced.
"No problem." And with that,she shut the door.
"I sure ain't going home yet." I stated.
"Ugh,me either. Let's go see if the boys are hanging out." Ashley cheered,running to Liam's house.
"It's open Ash!" They yelled.
We walked to the livingroom,as Niall and Liam were running down the stairs.
"What happened?" Liam pointed to Ashley's head.
"Father." Ashley rolled her eyes.
"You're okay though,right Mary-Kate?" Niall sighed.
"I'm fine,Niall. You know I nver get beaten on Saturdays." It's true. I never do get beaten on Saturdays,because dad let's me sleep in,because I didn't tell Mrs.Styles he beats us.
"Yeah,I forgot." He shrugged as we all sat on the couch.
"Ugh I am dreading to go to Sunday School tomorrow. At least it takes off some of our Sunday beatings." Ashley sighed.
"Why does our life have to be like this? Zayn and Louis bully us,Harry is a perv,and the whole school hates us. Even our own father." I clenched my fist at the image of dad smiling after he hurt Ashley this morning.
"Don't worry. You'll be fine if you have us." Niall laughed,setting his head on my shoulder.
"Yeah,yeah,you big flirt." I laughed shoving him off.
*****Ashley's POV*****
The boys had to go do some shopping with their mums,so Mary-Kate and I went home.
"Dad will be home in an hour or so,clone." I sighed.
"Erg. That man ticks me off sometimes. And stop calling me clone. We are fraternal,ya know." She said in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Yeah,yeah,yeah. Tsk Tsk." I sighed again.
An hour passed,us just Tsk Tsking back and forth. It became entertaining after awhile. Mary-Kate had accidently said Licks Licks.
*****MARY KATES POV*****
"SIT IN THE CORNER YOU DUMB SLUTS!" Dad demanded in a hoarse voice.
"Yes sir." We sighed and stood in the corner. Dad took a belt off of a hook,and slapped us both across the face with it. Ashley cowarding in the corner didn't make matters any better. So me,being the 'tough' one stood up to him.
"Why do you beat us father? We've never done anything to you! TOU SHOULD BE IN JAIL! WE'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU! YOU'RE THE SLUT,NOT US!" I screamed in his face.
"GO TO THE WHIPPING CLOSET RIGHT NOW YOU LITTLE WHORE!" He hissed at me.
"No." I aaid blankly.
"What did you say to me you little slut bag?"
"I said No. Are you stupid,AND deaf now?" I laughed at my own joke.
"YOU LITTLE FUCKER. GO SIT IN THE DAMN CLOSET AND WAIT FOR YOUR FUCKING PUNISHMENT!" He hollered in my face,then spat on Ashley.
"Nobody spats,or hurts Ash!" I yelled slapping my dad,then noticing what I've done.
"NOW YOU'RE GOING TO FUCKING GET IT!!!" Father screamed,loud enough for Mrs.Horan,and Mrs.Payne to hear.
Ashley scampered to our room,and went onto the roof. She jumped off and ran to Liam's house. I just ran to the bathroom,and locked myself in. I slid down the door,and sighed.
"At least Ash is okay." I whispered to myself. Then,I heard sirens,my dad screaming my name,and Niall crying.
