Skyler's POV
We all sat at the end of practice in the lockerroom. We were getting a rundown of how the playoffs would work.
"We will be confined to what is known as, 'The Bubble.' It will have our hotel, our practice arena, and the arena itself. We will be in Edmonton." Coach Bowness stated.
Tyler put his hand up. "We can't leave?" He seemed just as confused as the rest of us.
"No, we will be stuck in Edmonton..." He sighed.
Murmurs were coming from all of us. We were all annoyed at this idea.
"We will be away from home for around eight weeks depending on how well we do." Coach Bowness ignored our complaints. "That sums up our plan. Good job working today. I'll see you guys tomorrow."
We all got up and started leaving. I felt a hand on my shoudler. I turned and saw Miro.
"Hey, Miro." I smiled warmly.
"Hey. This is gonna be weird," He said.
"It'll be pretty crazy. I mean, I don't go home to family every night, but still." I shrugged. He nodded.
"Same here. It'll make us grow closer as a team though. We could use the bonding. We lost a good portion of our season. Plus, we'll have time to get to know some of the new players we have." Miro stated.
"That's a good point." I nodded.
"I'll see you tomorrow at practice." He smiled.
"Alright, bye." I smiled back. I picked up my stuff and walked out to my car.
This is gonna be so strange. Maybe it'll be like Miro said and it will be good for us. We'll see what this holds!
