Skyler's POV
I took a deep breath as I pushed out onto the ice. This was our first round-robin game. We haven't played a normal game in forever! I was relieved to be here but it was so strange. There were no fans. It was almost silent... The only voices I heard were the excited and nervous ones of my teammates. I took a deep breath when I felt Miro wrap his arm around me.
"You ready?" He asked, looking down at me. I nodded.
"I think so. I am a little nervous." I shrugged. He smiled and let go of me.
"We'll win this. I have faith in us. We are a good and strong team." Miro smiled. I nodded.
"Let's win," I smirked.
~~~~~
We did not win. We got beaten three to five. It was worse than it sounds. We looked like we had it until the third period. We fell apart. Four goals were scored against us over twenty minutes of playing time. We went back to our locker room, and we were pretty quiet. Coach talked to us briefly, and we got on the bus back to our hotel.
"Did you know their pools are heated?" Miro asked as Roope, Esa, and I stood with him in the elevator.
"Wait, really?" I asked.
"Yeah, did any of you guys bring swimsuits?" He asked.
"I did," I stated.
"Same."
"Yeah."
"Then go change, and we're gonna go swim," Miro smirked.
"Alright." I shrugged. We all went our different ways to our rooms. I quickly slipped on my swimsuit. It was a white, one-piece swimsuit. It had lace that covered my stomach. I loved this swimsuit.
I slid a hoodie on over it and ran downstairs to the pool. I saw Miro and Esa sitting and talking with their backs to me. I saw Roope come out behind me. I turned to him and smiled. He chuckled softly. I ran up behind Miro and shoved him into the pool, giggling. Esa started laughing.
I took off the hoodie that I had on and threw it onto one of the pool chairs. I looked towards the water and saw Miro staring at me. I blushed a bit, but ignored it and jumped on top of him. He laughed and picked me up. He threw me across the pool, and I squealed. He laughed, and Esa and Roope slowly got in. We all started laughing and talking. Eventually, we got tired and went up to our hotel rooms. We all said goodbye, and we walked to our separate rooms. This was such a fun group of guys.
