Harmony's POV-
I did it.
I asked her to hang out.
For a while I've been trying to figure out how I feel about Leyla.
At first I just really wanted to be her friend. Like really. Like watching her every move really.
Looking back now, I seemed like a total stalker but after Leyla told me she was a lesbian. I realized what I felt.
I liked her.
But I could never tell her.
But that doesn't mean I can't hangout with her.
I grab my phone, open her contact and stare at the screen.
"What should I even say? Hey Leyla I have a fat crush on you but instead of ever telling you I'm gonna ask you to hang out all the time til I lose feelings? No, hell no"
I hover my finger over the keyboard but eventually type out
"Hey Leyla! Listen I really wanna hang out soon since we don't get to see eachother much since I'm busy with dance team. Maybe we can hang out after the competition?"
I stopped, stared, proofread, and hit send. I waited and waited and waited.
Read at 7:33
Excuse me?
"So are you gonna leave me on delivered?"
And then I sit and wait again. Text bubbles pop up indicating that she's typing and I release a breath.
"How about we hang out tomorrow? At your house?"
Oh wow. I was expecting her to say no or make an excuse but it's actually happening.
"Ok! You can help me with some dance team stuff too! See you tomorrow!"
No that has too many exclamation points, I seem desperate.
I decide to be bold and put a heart at the end instead of the exclamation point.
She doesn't respond but only leaves behind a read receipt.
Wow it's actually happening.
Why am I freaking out about this?
It's not like she can tell you like her...right?
I mean, could she tell cause she likes girls?
No there's no way...unless
"Ughh shut up!", I yell at myself and hop into bed. This is a problem I'll deal with tomorrow.
AN: oop- my girls are gonna have some moments in the next chapter! :)))
