Third person POV-

Leyla made her way to Harmonys house on foot. She would've used her skateboard but it was broken and she still hadn't gotten the money from the Attaway Appeal because of the "accident" she had. So walking it was. Leyla was fast on her feet, eager almost but also terrified. She didn't know how to act around Harmony anymore. Especially after last nights realization, she didn't know if she could keep herself in check. What she also didn't know was that Harmony was having the same problem. Pacing in her room waiting for the doorbell to ring so she could rush down to get it. She knew that without the skateboard, Leyla was going to take awhile, but awhile felt like forever, until-
Ding dong!
Harmony jumped at the sound and ran downstairs to answer the door and opened to see Leyla standing there looking out of breath.
"Long walk huh?", Harmony laughed.
"Yeah, without my skateboard I have to run everywhere", Leyla explained out of breath staring at Harmony. It stayed like that for a moment, the tension thick before Harmony opened the door wider and said "come in!"
Leyla walked in and walked around. She had never seen Harmony's house before. Sometimes in FaceTime calls but never in person. The walls were eggshell white and a gray couch sat in the living room infront of a tiny glass table on top of a patterned carpet.
"Come on", Harmony said motioning to Leyla to follow her up the steps.
"Where's your family?"
"Parents are at work and Rhymes having Tuesday Tea with her friends at Juniors so it'll be just us for a few hours."
Leyla's heart dropped.
"Alone? With Harmony? In her room?"
She silently freaked out while following Harmony into her room.
"So this is it...", Harmony says opening her arms as if she was presenting something big.
The girls sat in silence again neither one knowing what to say to the other.
"So", Leyla started, " what should we do?"
Harmony looked around, scanning her entire room before pointing her eyes onto something and marched over to it. She reached into her closet and grabbed something. Leyla walked a little closer behind her to try and see what she was doing. Right then, Harmony whipped back around, met with Leyla's face inches from hers. She slightly jumped, but didn't move and neither did Leyla.
"What did you get?", Leyla whispered still stuck in place.
"Uhh, JustDance?", Harmony responded holding up the game for Leyla to see.
"Oh ok, can we play?", Leyla whispered again.
"Sure we can.", Harmony responded but still unmoving.
Harmonys eyes flashed from Leyla's eyes to her  lips and she started to consider leaning in, when Leyla moved to the side and motioned towards the door. Harmony walked past her and made her way downstairs to the living room to put the game on the console. Leyla trailed behind, still internally freaking out from what just happened. Her and Harmony almost kissed! Well, maybe? She didn't really know if she could describe it like that, but it was definitely something. Harmony handed Leyla a controller and pressed a song. The girls danced it out, Harmony obviously winning and Leyla half out of breath but having fun the entire time.
The game finally ended the the scores popped up in the screen.
Harmony- 1000
Leyla- 898
"YES I WIN!", Harmony yelled jumping around. Leyla laughed at how adorable she was. Harmony continued to jump around until she got tired and sat on the couch. Leyla sat down with her, still keeping a distance.
"Wow, that was fun.", Harmony said still a little breathless.
"Yeah and of course your mad dancing skills defeated me!", Leyla said sarcastically throwing her hand on her head like a damsel in distress. Harmony laughed at the gesture.
"Oh speaking of dancing, dance team is a total mess right now!", Harmony responded.
"I mean the girls won't cooperate, our dances are totally boring, and that Millwood girl Simone decide to cut up all of our outfits!", Harmony vented putting her hands in her head. Leyla was shocked.
"Was dance that serious?", she thought. "Next thing you know someone's gonna wound up dead or something over dance!".
Leyla decided to move right next to Harmony and rub her back to console her. Harmony looked back up out of her hands and Leyla gave her a smile. Harmony gave one back and opened her arms to hug Leyla. The girls embraced each other and stayed like that for a moment. Both getting butterflies in their stomach. Harmony was the first to pull back, but not entirely. She stopped close to Leyla's face and stared at her. Leyla gave her a puzzled look and Harmony leaned in. Leyla couldn't believe it was happening. She was about to kiss Harmony. But right before their lips finally touched, the front door opened and the girls jumped away from one another.
"Harmony I'm home!", Rhyme called out.
The sound of keys being hung up and Ryhme running up to her room passed the girls in the living room.
The girls stared at each other trying to silently figure what almost happened.
"I'm- im so sorry Leyla, that was an accident.", Harmony tried to hurriedly explain. Leyla was still in shock.
"No it's- it's ok, but I think I should go", Leyla said getting all of her things and walking towards the door. She stopped at the door, turned around and saw Harmony staring back at her, but still opened the door and left anyway.
What the hell just happened?

AN: Heyyy! So idk if I really like this chapter because do the 3rd person POV but I didn't want to have to keep interchanging the girls POV so that was the second best option. And thank you for all the love, I didn't expect this to get any recognition <3
