How to steal a heart- Chapter 8

- 3rd person POV -

Hinata had gotten up as he heard the bell ring, indicating that class was over. He quickly gathered his bag and walked out of the classroom.

" Hinata! "

Hinata turned around to face Kageyama, who ran to him. " Huh? "

" Are you coming to practice today? " He asked as he looked a bit concern. Hinata shook his head and sighed, " I'm.... busy is all I can really say, but I'll try to be there tomorrow! " He said with a smile.

" Alright.... I'll see you tomorrow." He spoke and then walked off to the gym.

- Time Skip -

" The manager had told me that, work starts on Wednesday for you at 6:00 PM, please be on time. " A lady said. Hinata smiled and nodded.

The lady smiled, she had short black hair with green eyes and pale skin. She wore a beige turtleneck with blue jeans underneath, cuffed at the ends and a white apron on top. " It'll be pleasant to work you soon "

" Same goes to you, Thank you....?"

" Emiko. Emiko Hara, It is nice to meet you Hinata "

" It's nice to meet you Hara! " he said with a small bow. The lady laughed quietly, " No need to be formal, just calle me Emiko, My last name gets tiring "

Hinata smiled and nodded, " Goodbye Emiko! " he waved and walked out of the small cafe. The lady waved and smiled as she grabbed a broom and began to sweep.

-  Time skip to Wednesday -

Hinata walked into the small cafe shop. He looked around and didn't see Emiko. He sighed silently and went to the front counter.

A tall girl with light brown hair that was tied up messily and had ear buds in her ears, had looked up. " Hello, how may I help you? " She said in a monotone voice. " I'm here to begin my shift. " He said as he nervously fiddled with his fingers. The girl nodded, " Hinata Shouyou, if I'm correct? " she said as she took out her earbuds and put them in her apron pocket. Hinata smiled and nodded, " Yes, I'm Hinata Shouyou. "

" Please follow me " she said as she opened the small door and walked to the back. Hinata walked in and followed the girl.

The girl picked up an apron and handed it to him,
Hinata put the apron on. "You can start by handing out the menus to people who are sitting over there" The girl said and pointed to a section with people pointing at one side.

Hinata grabbed a few menus and went to the side she pointed at. He passed out menus to all the people who were sitting down at tables. He smiled each time someone thanked him. The job itself wouldn't seem so hard, it seemed easy.

-After the hours are done-

Hinata let out a loud sigh of relief as he finished mopping the floor. The last person to come in had left about, 3 or 5 minutes ago and they had left a big stain for Hinata to clean.

'Geez...everyone is so messy' He though to himself as he put away the mop and emptied out the dirty water. He was the one left to lock up the cafe and leave the keys in the flower pot outside. He took off his apron and hung it on his nameplate, grabbed his items and made sure everything was turned off and walked out of the cafe, making sure to lock it behind him.

He put the key well hidden in the pot and began his walk home.

After a while, he finally made it to his home, exhausted. He unlocked the door and walked in. He closed the door behind him and hung his keys on the wall and trudged to his room.

He felt no energy to change out of his clothes so he flopped down on the bed and immediately fell asleep.
