She can help you, Jayden. Just tell Casey about it. If you do this, your sister would be proud.
I had let out another sigh before saying, "Casey?" Casey seemed to jump at the sound of my voice. "You can actually talk?" Casey said, in awe. "Casey, calm down," Grace said. "Calm down? T-t-this is amazing. I never knew he could say anything," Casey responded. "Casey, I need to tell you something," I started. "Sure what is it?" Casey said.
"I didn't talk since I witness my dad's death. I went completely quiet when I was separated from my little sister. She was more comfort but we were separated," I said, feeling a tear roll down the side of my face. "Oh," Casey said. Grace sat there in quiet. Silence fell upon the three of us. "Grace?" I heard faintly in the distance. "Sorry, I have to go," Grace said, get up quickly, walking away. "We should go to," Casey said. I wiped my face.
We got up and walked to the others. "What was that about?" Robyn asked. "Nothing," Casey said. We started to walk to our cabin. Robyn and Ash were far ahead of me and Casey, Jax was far behind us. "So, how did she, a random girl you just met today, get you, a mute 15 year old since you was 7, to talk? Like what the hell?" Casey asked.
"Can you not shout? I don't want the others to know yet..." I said, looking at Casey then, looking back ahead. "Bu-" Casey started, stopping. I stopped to cover Casey's mouth. "We will continue later, when we are alone together," I said, staring deeply into their eyes. I uncovered their mouth and started walking again. Casey stood still for a moment, with an open mouth. We got to the cabin and Robyn had opened the door.
"We're here," Robyn said, as of someone was going to respond to her. The cabin had three sets of bunk beds. Robyn and Ash shared a bunk bed. Casey shared one with me. Jax had preferred his own bunk. Each bunk bed had its own room. This so-called cabin looked more like a townhome. It seems that the cabins were better than the school. But why? This was a summer camp for a reason.
Casey walked into our room after me. They shut and lock the door causing me to flinch. "Sit," they said, leaning against the door. "You sit first," I said. They let out a sigh before sitting down. I walked over sat down next to them. "So, how did she get you to talk?" Casey asked, looking at their fidgeting hands. "She looks like my sister. I don't why but she made me feel comfortable you know," I said, keeping my voice low.
Casey didn't lookup. Didn't move in general, actually. "Should we tell Robyn?" They whispered. "Maybe, since we knew her since we were younger," I said. "Casey?" I heard Robyn calling for them. They wiped their face as if they were crying and unlocked the door. "Yes?" They called back. I was hoping that they were going to talk in front of me. "Can you come here?" Robyn responded. "Sure, come on Jayden," Casey said. I followed Casey to Robyn. Robyn was sitting in the kitchen on a counter.
"Oh, you brought your boyfriend," Robyn said, smirking. "We aren't dating. What do you want?" Casey responded. I sat down away from her. "What were you two doing when you stopped?" Robyn asked. "Nothing," Casey said, looking at me quickly. "Yeah, yeah," Robyn said, rolling her eyes.
