 ryouhei arisu ❤

you had entered the borderlands only a few weeks ago, but if felt like a lifetime. unlike most, you entered alone and stayed alone- you had seen so many people die within these games, and the thought of getting attached made you worried. getting through these games was hard enough, having to deal with emotions would be worse.

with that lone wolf mindset, meeting ryouhei arisu felt like a slap in the face. seeing someone so casually yet strongly care for his friends and work together with them made you ache. it only reminded you of all the people you had left in the previous world. not to mention seeing him try to work with the other participants, shouting out the location of the tagger during the game of tag. a part of you almost admires him in that moment, so much that you decide to play along.

you think it's him that made your group win the game. that call for teamwork was what saved your life. safe to say, you're very intrigued by him. you wonder if one day you'll see him again- who knows if his ideals will hold up by then?

being a resident of the beach sucks. you don't particularly care for whatever's going on with hatter and his crew, and the militants just piss you off. they're all so...stuck up. the only reason you're here is because your brother buys into hatter's card shit. it's pretty uninteresting for the most part, until the rumors about newbies start swirling around.

you don't give a fuck, really. that is, until you actually encounter the duo. it's a boy and a girl- the boy you don't think twice about, but the girl...she's cute, but you can tell she's got some spunk- even though she looks uncomfortable in her swimsuit. (you think she looks nice though, and her friend seems to agree)

you don't really get to talk to her, but you swear you will one day. it feels like she and her friend are gonna make the beach a little more interesting.

♠️ daikichi karube ♠️

when you realise the three dudes before you have zero clue what is happening, you automatically feel a little bad for them. it's more like pitying that they'll probably die, but they seem like such a genuine bunch of people that got mixed up into the wrong thing. you let the office-worker looking woman explaining it to them, feeling a little too guilty to be objective about it. it seemed like a pretty simple first game- escape the building- but you weren't dumb, and you didn't want to give the boys any false hope.

you vaguely get to know the three boys during the game- arisu, chota and karube. karube is the one who interests you the most. he seems the most imposing, but he ends up listening to arisu for most of the game. he's a little hard to get along with, and the two of you fight at different points of the game. seeing as you usually try to clear the games alone, it's new to you.

sadly the youngest girl of your group dies, chota gets his leg burnt badly and you're not in the best shape either. in an effort to get through the final door, there had been a pile on and you ended up being the one on the bottom.

weirdly enough, karube is the one who offers to bring you along with their group. shibuki is already going with them, so he says that another person won't do any harm, especially since you seem used to the games. ignoring any teasing from his friends, you turn him down. you'd just bother them, after all. though, you think you'll miss their little group. they're pretty entertaining, after all.
