Sid

I hope I look okay. This is the semi-cleanest shirt I have. I was wearing a dark green t-shirt and dark blue skinny jeans. Am I really worried about what I look like? God i'm turning into a girl before going to prom. I walked to the house she told me she lived in and I knocked on the door. A tall skinny guy in a Applebees work uniform was standing there.

"Yes?" He answered.

"Hey i'm here to see Phoebe." I said.

"And do what?" He asked raising his eyebrow.

"Ummm... go out to eat?" I said.

"Hey Sid." Phoebe greeted suddenly appearing behind him. "Sorry this is my weird ass brother." She said rolling her eyes and pushing him away from the door. He stared at me suspiciously and walked away. She turned and smiled at Phoebe then realized a dark purple bruise on her cheekbone.

"What happened to your eye?" I asked.

"I wasn't watching where I was going and I hit it on the kitchen cabinet." She explained.

"Really? It looks like someone sucker punched you right in the face." I joked. Phoebe stayed quiet and looked away from me. "Sorry... that was really noisey of me." I said. She shrugged and smiled weakly. She walked out of the house and closed the door behind her.

"So where are we going?" She asked.

"Just some burger place I like. I figured it might be cool going there." I suggested.

"Sounds nice." Phoebe nodded. We both walked in silence. I looked over at her and looked at what she was wearing. She was wearing tight skinny jeans hugged her legs perfectly, a black tight t-shirt, and bright red converse. She caught me staring at her and she chuckled.

"What the hell are you looking at?" She asked.

"Oh fuck sorry. I didn't mean to stare." I stammered feeling embarressed.

"Calm down dude. I don't care." She assured. I bet she was used to all the guys staring at her. I sighed and we both continued walking to the resteraunt. We walked into the place and sat down at one of the booths. Phoebe looked around the place nodding.

"Cool place. I should come here more." She said.

"Yeah my friend works here. I can sometimes get free food if he is in a good mood."

"Is he always in a good mood?"

"Yeah not much." We both laugh and my friend Matt walked over to us scowling "Speak of the devil..." I mumbled.

"What the hell are you doing here man? I told you not so come back." Matt growled. Matt was expelled from school his senior year because he made a homemade bomb and set it off during gym class and made the gym teacher have a heart attack. He only had to do 200 hours worth of community service. Now he is 24 and lives in some dingy apartment while working in a diner and selling pot. I had to buy pot from him one time and it was the worst pot I have ever had and I wasted 30 bucks on it. Matt's hair is shaved into a buzzcut and he is tall and bulky and muscular. He stared down at me like I was a piece of meat.

"Me and my friend wanted to have something to eat man. Is that a crime?" I asked.

"I can't give you free food anymore you dipshit." He snapped.

"Why not Matt? I thought we were tight man! Remeber when I bought some weed from you and you tried killing me when and threw up on your carpet?" I asked smirking.

"Shut the fuck up you asswipe! I could get arrested again if you keep on talking about me and my business!" He whispered harshly. He placed his big sweaty hands on the table and leaned in close to my face. His breath smells and chewing tabacoo and bacon. "If I go to jail because of your skinny, white ass I fucking swear to God i'm going to rip your fucking head off." He threatned quietly.

"Boys! Calm down hun we don't want to fight." Phoebe piped up. Matt turned to look at her and she smiled. "Come on babe. We just want some food that's all." She explained.

"I ain't giving you punks any free food!" He snapped.

"Oh really? Are you sure about that? Because I don't think my father who is the cheif police officer of this town would not be so happy about this little 'business' you run..." She said slyly.

"Y-y-you can't do that shit!" He stammered.

"Hmm I think I can big boy." She said taking out her phone and going to speed dial. She put her phone to her ears and looked away from us.

"Who are you calling?" He asked.

"Oh my dad. When he picks up he is going to hear everything I just heard." She said smiling devilously.

"No stop! I will give you a free meal!" He said trying to snatch the phone from her hand away.

"You touch me I yell rat!" She threatned.

"God whatever! Just don't tell anyone." He sighed. She nodded and put her phone away.

"I will have a regular cheese burger with a side of fries. What will you have Sid?" She asked.

"Uhh... same thing." I stammered. Shocked about how she handled all of this. Matt grumbled 'fine' and stomped away. I stared at Phoebe with my mouth gaping.

"I think a thank you is in order?" She smirked.

"You are the most badass girl I have ever met." I blurted out. I instantly felt my cheeks burn with embarrsment for what I just said. "S-s-sorry I just..." I groaned.

"No it's okay!" She said blushing and grinning. "That's the nicest thing any guy has said to me in a long time."
