Nova Lights (Judy x Sherb)

[Judy POV]

I looked up at the night sky, leaving my house for a walk. Seeing the island light up is amazing, especially at winter time. Where else do I start my walk than a stroll across the beach? The sounds of the waves are so soothing, and the lights in the backdrop make it look so much better. Clutching my bag, I set off.

My dress was blowing in the cool nighttime breeze. I could smell the flowers all around me, admiring what Madeleine had done to the island. When I got closer to the beach, I stopped. I saw a figure sitting all alone, however I couldn't see who it was or even what species it was due to the extreme light. All I could tell that they were sitting underneath a yellow nova light.

I get closer.

I slowly saw the figure turn into a goat. A goat with the same pastel blue as the blue on my fur. A goat with pink cheeks and a darker (but still light) area of blue hair. All of a sudden, my eyes lit up more than they had before, without my realization. I stopped, staring at him. He seemed to be staring back.

[Sherb POV]

There was a girl standing in the distance, probably Judy - I didn't want to be too sure in case I got overexcited. I turned around further to get a closer look, trying my hardest not to blush. Yep it was Judy. I began staring into her vibrant eyes... and continued... and carried on. We were gazing awkwardly at eachother for about half a minute before I said something.

"Hey Judy..!' I called out, hoping she could sit with me. To my suprise, she responded.

"H-hi Sherb," she sat down next to me. I went red. "What were you doing on your own?" Silence.

"Oh! Err... I was taking a nap! Isn't the beach a beautiful place to sleep?" I lied, somewhat hoping I could get away with it.

"Yeah! Especially because of the relaxing sound of waves..." I could see her blushing. What do I do? Should I make a move? We've known each other some time now so do you think its good time?

"Totally! And I say beautiful but... this beach isnt anywhere near as beautiful as you..."

OMG! Did I actually just do that?! Why did I have to go compliment her like that!? I could've picked any other time, and all I do is pick an awkward situation and make it worse. I hope she isn't... mad? Judy gave an anxious giggle.

"Awww, th-thank you Sherb! You're very beautiful as well, probably way more than me."

Okay... what did she just say?! I tried to smile in return but I only managed to let out a sigh. Judy glanced at me.

I jumped out of my skin when she hugged me.

"Hey Sherb... don't be like that."

"Be like what?"

"Sighing and stuff. You being upset isn't a nice sight to see," she softly spoke. She smiles at me. I remain silent. "Let's just enjoy the moment while it lasts," she continued, gawking into my eyes. We continued to hug, repetitively looking at the other realizing we were red.

[3rd Person POV]

Before they knew it, it was past midnight. Sherb was asleep and Judy had her eyes fixed on the ocean. She looked down at Sherb once more, unable to sleep due to the moment. However, she felt tired. Looking back at Sherb again, she lay down. She got closer to him. The night went on.

Judy slept while cuddling Sherb... underneath the nova light.
