the plan

As the sun rose and casted through the windows of me and 'miones dorm I smiled, remembering the plan that I had conjured up last night whilst struggling to sleep. I had always struggled to fall asleep, my mind seemed to always be running at fifty miles per hour. However, no one ever really seemed to notice my tiredness. Apart from when I fell asleep in potions that was...and I wonder why Snape hates me.

It was a Friday afternoon which meant I was especially tired. As the classroom seemed to get increasingly warm I felt myself falling asleep. I had told myself it was just a long blink, but this was definitely a lie as I don't think anyone in history has ever taken a 'long blink' without falling asleep.

My eyes fluttered shut and the once loud classroom turned into muffles, I was even able to tune out the constant rambling of Hermione (which I would normally love).

However, my nap was short lived as I soon snapped up after hearing Snape smash his ruler down on my desk. I sat there frozen and shocked as my heart was beating erratically, he could've chosen a nicer way to wake me up.

"Y/ln, have you got anything to say for yourself or are you going to sit there frozen?" he spoke. I heard Slytherins laughing from across the room and heard 'moine scowl at them.

"Err...yes apologies sir, I heard everything you said" I lied straight through my teeth, this was not going to go well.

"Very well then, if you were paying as much attention as you claim then you will be able to tell me what a bezoar does?" he smirked, I swear we haven't even learnt that yet?

"That's...that's a really good question sir...uhhh"

"Poison...it cures the effects" I heard Harry whisper behind me. When did he start studying?

"It cures the effects of poison sir" I said confidently, satisfied that I had answered the question Snape was so certain I couldn't answer.

"Correct" he said with no emotion "five points to Gryffindor". I looked around smugly at the news that I had earned my house points. "And another 10 taken off for cheating" I quickly turned round and groaned throwing my head back.

The Slytherins began laughing again at my stupidity and I flipped my middle finger towards them which Snape luckily missed. Draco snarled and I began working again remembering to never fall asleep in potions ever again.

Anyway back to the plan, I had decided that Ron deserved a little prank to pay back his 'joke' last night. And I decided that the best people to help me with this were the masters of pranks themselves Fred and George.

As I walked into the Great Hall I noticed my friends eating their breakfast as I began walking towards them I quickly turned my heel and sat with Fred and George. Hermione noticed this and shot me a confused look, which i dismissed with a smile.

"Well well well, what do we have here" said Fred, who unlike everyone else I could tell who was who.

"It seems as though little Ronniekins girlfriend has decided to come to the superior Weasleys" George joked. I giggled trying to hide my excitement.

"Good day boys I am here to discuss business" I said trying not to laugh at their eagerness. "See a certain red head decided to play a joke on me last night and leave me with a first year enemy" I pointed at Ron whilst explaining the plan. As I pointed at him his eyes met my gaze and I smirked at him, he smiled back but you could see the fear in his eyes.

I was talking with the twins about the plan until I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned around to see my friends. I beamed at them still excited about the plan.

"Hi guys!" I said

"Hey y/nn we are going to the library to study, I didn't know if you wanted to come with us" 'mione explained.

"Yep, i'm coming" I turned to get off the table and threw a wink to the twins kissing them both on the cheek.

"Thanks boys I owe you one!" I shouted to them half way out the hall.

As I got up from my spot I began to walk over to the charms section in hopes of finding a book that I hadn't already read. When I was walking however, I heard a pair of footsteps, I assumed it was 'mione looking for another book to help her studies.

However, I soon found that my assumption was wrong when I heard a voice call out my name. I hid behind a bookshelf hoping that the red head would not be able to see me.

"Y/n!" I heard Ron call out, I cringed realising how loud he was being in a library.

"Weasley, this is a library, if you cannot respect that then I suggest you leave" I heard Madam Pince whisper shout.

I giggled at this as I noticed how red Ron became, this caught his attention though and blew my cover. We made eye contact as I tried to hide behind the bookcase again.

"I'm sorry Madam Pince I forgot that I was in a library" he said awkwardly.

"Well Weasley I can see why you weren't sorted into Ravenclaw" she asserted, clearly proud of her insult. However, Ron hadn't taken notice of her insult and began walking over to me.

I hid my face with a book which was no use as he stood in front of me. I was still reading when I felt his hand push the book down and his hand push my head up so that our eyes were now staring in to one another.

"Y/nn" he said confidently.

"Ron" I said looking down and straightening my robes and trying to hide the blush of my cheeks, godrick he was standing close.

"I saw you sit with my brothers this morning"

"Well seen, someone ought to give you a medal for being so observant" I said tauntingly.

He went red and I could tell he was flustered, I loved that I could do that to him but god did I hate that he could do it to me too.

"Well...er yes - yes uhm" I giggled at his sudden nervousness. "Anyway I was just coming to ask what it was all about"

"Well you see Ronald, that's for me to know and you to find out" at those words I slid past his body, grabbed a random charms book and sat back down in my study spot.

"What have you been doing!" Hermione asked.

"Oh nothing" I lied, it was definitely not 'nothing'

She turned away to resume reading her book when she noticed Ron walking back bright red also. She looked at me and wiggled her eyebrows knowingly. I pushed her arm and scowled.

"Don't you dare.." I joked.
