chapter nine

Taylor's POV

I woke up and the sun shone brightly through the windows. The house was in silent. I went to the kitchen then thought of the cookies. A sticky note was at the fridge's door.

Out for netball practices. Home by 1 or 2

p.s; I took 5 pieces of ur cookies im sorry they just smell so nice

I laughed a little then put the rest of the cookies in a jar. I thought about my life, they were ruined. I looked over to my hand. I gently took off the ring, probably never wanting it back. I got dressed,put the ring in my pocket and headed to where the statue of liberty was.

I signed a few autographs, took some selfies and finally,  decided to do a fun thing.

' Guys do you mind joining me do this idea I'm having? ' I asked my fans and they all screamed.

I took out the ring from my pocket and there were a few gasps. A fan spoke up ' Whatever you're doing, we're here for you, Taylor '.

I smiled. ' Let's count to thirteen!! ' I shouted and they counted together with me. There was no going back and I liked it that way. Men sucks- probably not all but yes to my exes. Ed was one of them.

And with that, I threw my ring as far as I could and it entered the water with a soft pulp. My fans cheered for me and I let them hug me.  I seemed to be suffocating, not enough air but at least, enough love.

' What do you say about pizzas at my place? ' I asked loudly, trying to overcome their screams. The screaming ended up being louder and I took that as a yes. We walked together, and I was utterly happy. 

I carried a baby girl, one of my fans' daughter as we headed to my apartment. It took us 15 minutes to reach there. I handed Mia, the baby, to her mother then went to set up my place, cleaning them a bit. Jack checked each and every one of them to make sure they was not bringing in any guns or harmful things into my place. I let them have a tour around my house as I waited for the pizzas.

The pizzas finally arrived and I served them for my fans. I also poured diet coke into cups as drinks. I hung out with Mia most of the time and fed her an apple I got. The closer I became with her, I felt like a mother. A real mother. Without my awareness, tears slipped away from my eyes and I quickly wiped them. The eating session came to an end then we had a meet and greet time.  20 minutes for each group consisting of 6 people. 2 hours passed and my phone buzzed.

T : Hello?

Amos : Don't tell me you're home

I totally forgot about my recording session.

T : Uh, I'll be there in 10. I'm sorry! I totally didn't remember. I better get going! 

Amos : I understan-

T : Bye!

I hung up and the rest of my fans put on their questioned look. ' Um, guys.. I'm so sorry but I have to go... I'll find a way to meet you again. Leave your phone numbers in my phone book. Now thank you! Hey Jack make sure they're all out of my apartment safely. I have to go now ' I rushed and stuffed important things into my bag. I ran outside and crossed the road to get to my Ford.

I was on my way and my phone buzzed again. It was Tessa. I put one of the ear phones into my ear and answered her call.

Te : Mooom?

Tay : Yes yes what now?

Te : Why aren't you home? I'm.. I'm..

Tay : What Tessa? Speak fast, I'm busy

Te : I'm not sure it's right to tell you now but-

Tay : Tenessa tell me

I almost hit a man but somehow managed to avoid him.

Te : I just got my period and I don't know how to.. how to.. *cries*

I made an emergency brake.

Tay : What? All along you haven't?

I could only hear her cry. She hung up a few seconds after.

' Tessa ' I whispered and with that, I made an illegal U-turn then headed back to my apartment. I did not want to risk another person's life by going on the phone while driving so I did not call my band mates or crew to tell them I would not be coming to the studio.

My phone buzzed and it was Amos again. I could not manage to pick up the call but a voice mail got in so I clicked on it instead.

Hey, Tay. It's me, Amos. Just want to to tell you that the rest of the crew went home. I tried explaining but they were disappointed that you haven't arrived. They said sorry, and um.. Yeah they'll be there when you give them a call. Just, don't do this again, okay?  We love you Taylor.

I knew they'd be pissed, like who would not? But at that moment, I had to do my job as a mother.

' Tessa!  ' I called for her as I walked in. She was on the floor,  hugging her knees, crying.

' I'm scared of blood ' she sniffled.

' You don't have to cry. Come ' I grabbed her hand and she stood,  following me to the cabinet in the bathroom.

I pulled out a tampon and taught her how to use it. I then left her in the bathroom , giving her some privacy.

My daughter is finally a woman.

YAYYYY I finally finished this chapter.  I'm on a week off school!!  Yeeee.  Well,  happy Chinese new year! Love all of you dearly.
