Taylor's P.O.V

"Why did Jayden leave?" Is the first thing Evelyn asks as I step out of my room changed and ready for school.

"I may have told him that me and Edward trying again, only this time we're going slow and steady-" I say but as expected, Sam cut me off.

"WHAT THE LIVING FUCK TAYLOR WHY WOULD YOU GO BACK TO HIM?!" Sam screeches, looking at me as if I was insane.

"Sam calm down! I do agree with her though Taylor, why go back to him? I Never took you as someone who goes back with their exes." Evelyn asks, a quizzical look on her face. I don't know why but that irritated me so much, maybe it was Jayden, maybe it was because of Sam but I blew up.

"I don't care! we're starting slow and working our way up! I told you so you wouldn't be blindsided by anything, not so you could all jump me on Edward, I wouldn't go back if I wasn't certain ok?!" I yell out, causing both Sam and Evelyn to jump. I barely got mad, especially at my friends, hell, I never raised my voice when I was annoyed, but this was just pissing me off.

"ok, ok we get it, but I think you should first talk to Jayden, he was fuming when he left." Evelyn informs me, and I suppress a groan. Leave it to me to have to fix things with someone who won't listen to me. I hear a ringing and see that it's my phone, I look at the number calling me and it's Edward. Sighing, I pick it up.

"Hello?" I start the call, because that's the wya I always start.

"Taylor we can't try anything, I think it's best we either move on or at least stay friends." I hear Edward say and I'm confused.

What change this mind in the past hours?

"Um ok? I mean whatever you want I guess." I tell him, a look of pure confusion on my face (as told by Sam and Evelyn.)

"Thank you, I'll text you later." He ends the call and I stare at my phone.

What the hell was that?

Once we get to school I see a face I didn't want to see.

"What the fuck is Summer doing here? I thought he was suspended!" I hiss to Evelyn in a hushed tone. My day couldn't really have gone worse, but of course he had to see me.

"Taylor, you're coming to my house for the project, I'm only telling you once, because I don't feel like getting a poor grade and I doubt you're willing to do it by yourself for the both of us." He rolls his eyes, as if my presence bores him, which it probably does.

"Fine, but we're only doing this for the project, I'm not gonna be buddy buddy with you after what you did." I say, crossing my arms together and raising an eyebrow, giving him a look that makes it seem like I don't care, when really I do. Suddenly, Jayden appears, standing right next to me as if to guard me. That's the thing with him, he could be mad, but if you have Jayden as a friend, he will always make sure you stay safe, no matter what may have annoyed him.

"Is there a problem here?" He asks, sounding nonchalant, when he really wants to make sure Summer leaves me alone.

"Everything's fine, just talking to Taylor about the stupid project, and after we're done, we can just stay away from each other, I think you can manage a year with me right?" He asks tauntingly, which is enough to send Jayden into a defensive stance, ready to fight, but I calm him down.

"Jayden, it's fine, we're stuck as partners, nothing you can do, I'll just work with him and then we'll be done with each other for the year, correct Summer?" I direct a threatening glaze to Summer, to which he just shrug. What is up with him? What changed in the 24 hours where he finally stopped calling me fag and instead uses my name?
