'My heart was wrapped up in clover, the night I looked at you'
The children were screaming happily as they chased each other around the house, Darcey had just finished loading the dishwasher and her husband, Sebastian was lounging on the sofa watching the children. Darcey walked through to the lounge where she smiled to herself then sat beside her husband. Sebastian pulled her close to him, his strong arms pulling her effortlessly towards him.
"Where's Tilly?" Darcey asked as she looked for her youngest daughter who was nowhere to be seen.
Sebastian chuckled, "She's with Jessie." He smiled as Darcey snuggled against his toned chest, her lips curling into a smile.
"I was going to suggest going for a walk," Darcey said as she closed her eyes for a moment.
Underneath her, she could hear Sebastian's heart beating steadily as he answered her. "Well, after that lunch, I was planning on taking a nap. You seriously make the best Christmas dinners." He stroked the soft hair of his younger wife, the woman he'd found himself in love with since the breakdown of his first marriage.
Darcey nodded, "Okay, love." She didn't open her eyes, she brought her hand up to rest next to her face against the hard chest on her husband. "You do that."
"Schnucki," he used his German nickname on his new wife knowing how the German language made her weak, especially when he spoke. "Are you falling asleep?"
She shook her head, she knew if she spoke she'd be properly awake and lying. Since he mentioned it, all she wanted to do was nap too.
Sebastian laughed to himself before he placed a kiss on Darcey's brown locks.
"Dad?" His eldest daughter, Jessie said as she entered the lounge.
Sebastian put his finger to his lips as he looked at her, "What is it?" He said in a whisper as he smiled at Jessie.
As she went to speak, Tilly ran into the room a little joyful scream leaving her lips as Lucy chased her around. "Mummy!" Tilly called out to the woman sleeping against Sebastian.
"Mummy is sleeping, baby," Sebastian put his other arm out which Tilly crawled into.
Jessie raised her eyebrows, "Mica is asleep. I'm going to play on the box, Dad. I think Lucy is tired too." She walked away as Lucy got up next to her father alongside Tilly.
"I want cuddles too!" Lucy whined as Sebastian rolled his eyes.
He pulled them both close to him, "Right... Let's play a game. Whoever can fall asleep the quickest won't have to help with taking the decorations down in a few days." He teased his daughters as he kept them close to him.
Lucy nodded, her blonde hair shaking everywhere as she did. "You're on," she said before she closed her eyes and pretended to sleep.
Sebastian smiled to himself, Tilly cuddled against him as he looked at part of his family which was with him. He even his daughters behind him did not share the same mother, they had become best of friends. He couldn't believe how lucky he'd gotten with his daughters and the women he's shared his life with, everyone seeming to get along perfectly, making his first Christmas with Darcey as his wife easier.
