I smiled at my boyfriend as he pulled the chair out away from the table. Sitting down, I looked up at him and pulled him down gently to kiss his lips.
"Thank you for doing all of this, babe," David had covered our kitchen table with a snow white sheet of silk; two candles placed on both sides of the table, and he even made dinner. He's been working alot lately, and we don't really have a lot of time to spend together. It made my heart flutter to know he was thinking about me, trying to make me smile.
"Of course, you didn't think you'd be the only one cooking in this house did you?" He was inches away from my face, and I could smell the intoxicating mix of his cologne and his minty breath. He smirked as he pulled away from me, pouring us wine into two fancy glasses.
As we ate I moaned to him about how good his food tasted, and we talked about our day.
I took a drink of the wine he had poured me, and he was looking at me with a half grin on his face. He was on to something, but knowing David, if I ask him he won't give in that easily.
Nevertheless, I opened my mouth to ask him what he was up to, then instantly started to feel dizzy. I looked him in the eyes and was seeing two of him. My eyelids were extremely heavy, and they closed. Right before I fell asleep, I remember David catching my head before it hit the table.
