So a few years ago I read all of the books from the Bridgerton series and I was obsessed with it for such a long time that I decided to write a fanfiction about it.

If you don't know what the heck I'm talking about, here: "The Bridgerton family consists of eight siblings and their widowed mother. In the novels, the Bridgertons are well respected and favored among British society. The Bridgertons are an extremely loving and tight-knit clan. The series comprises eight books in which each of the siblings finds true love. Each book is set against the backdrop of upper English society during the period of Regency England."

The author's name is Julia Quinn and she's amazing. So if you haven't read any of her books, do yourself a favor and go try it on for size. I promise, you're gonna love it.

About two years ago, I had this idea: what if I rewrote the entire Bridgerton series in a modern setting and at the same time? (Because the books happen in chronological order, so the events of the first book happen many, many years before the events of the last book, and I thought it would be funnier to have all eight Bridgertons suffering at the same time, because I'm evil like that I guess...)

So I did that. And then crazy 2020 happens and Netflix decides to do the same thing...??? Minus the modern setting? I'm so confused and so excited at the same time! And since Bridgerton is trending, some people suggested that I post my fanfic here so we can all have some fun together.

I DON'T OWN ANY OF THESE CHARACTERS AND THEIR STORIES! JULIA QUINN DOES! SHOUT OUT FOR HER!

Here's how it's going to go:

1) Anthony Bridgerton is in desperate need of an escort and not for the reasons you might think. He definitely isn't ready to commit to anyone, but his status as a single man has rendered him many awkward conversations. His power and position demand that he has a beautiful woman at his arm... preferably always the same one. The young Edwina Sheffield has caught his eye. Wanted by everyone and their mothers, Edwina is the perfect woman to be the face of Bridgerton Corporation. However there's a catch: Edwina's activist sister and her blind hatred for everything BCorp stands for.

2) Benedict Bridgerton wasn't looking for love when love hit him over the head with a satin glove and a lacy eye mask. On the opening night of his exhibition, a radiant vision in white struck him with her beauty and Benedict started to obsess about this mysterious woman so much so that any real woman would fail to compete. But lost in his daydreams, Benedict is at a risk to miss out on the real thing. Because there is a particularly fetching housekeeper at the Penwood Hotel that always knows what to say to him and never misses an opportunity to make him smile. Which of these two women is his true soul mate? And how can he choose?

3) Colin Bridgerton has ran away for too long, yet it hasn't been long enough. People still remember. He still remembers. Like it was only yesterday that they were basking in each other's warmth, whispering sweet nothings and making promises of eternal love. But that was then. Now, with his heart broken, Colin wants nothing more than to stay away from Great Hamptons, except the love he bears for his mother and siblings always makes him come running back. He keeps his visits brief, but brief apparently is long enough to change a man's soul and Colin finds that nothing in the tons is the same, especially not Penelope Featherington, a childhood friend who now haunts his dreams.

4) Daphne Bridgerton has created her own clothing line, which features accessories and perfumes, but she is having trouble keeping the business going. She urgently needs resources to buy her dream store, but she refuses to use the family's money. Daffiness was her idea and Daphne will have to fight to get it to work. A great opportunity surfaces when the coveted heir of Global Hastings offers her money in exchange for Daphne pretending to be his girlfriend at a few gala events. However the more you dig, the harder you bury yourself, and the more they pretend, the harder it becomes to remember that their agreement is just business.

5) Eloise Bridgerton is a medical student who likes to write. Letters, texts, messages, email and notes. She writes down all of her thoughts. She writes down itineraries for her siblings. She writes down supermarket lists (even though she never actually goes out to buy anything). She likes to write letters to her friends and family, to people she has only just met, and some she reserves for those she hasn't met yet, but wants to. She even wrote a letter to her angry, unjust biology professor — she just didn't expect him to write back.

6) Francesca Bridgerton is the messy twin — as in you can always count on her to mess things up. It has always been like this, ever since she learned how to talk Francesca always put her foot through her mouth in all sorts of situations. The problem was: she was a pathological liar. She couldn't help it. She lies lies lies through her teeth, it's like second nature to her. And especially when it comes to Mica... Francesca has no choice but to lie. Because to tell the truth would be to admit that she loved her like more than just friends. The truth would hurt Mica and Francesca and poor John, who was the best boyfriend in the world and couldn't possibly fathom that his girlfriend's heart actually belonged to his sister.

7) Gregory Bridgerton thought he was so unique. The youngest of the Bridgerton boys, he was certain that his path in life would be quite different from those of his brothers. And then he fell in love as fast as Benedict, and fell in love with the wrong person just like Anthony, and took as long as Colin to realize his mistake... Nope. Gregory isn't anything like his brothers and he does things in unique and unexpected ways.

8) Hyacinth Bridgerton isn't quite like anybody else. Or so they say. She is diabolically intelligent, brutally honest and, according to Gareth St. Clair, probably better in small doses. Hyacinth hates being put in a box and she does everything in her power to prove she is superior to the opposite sex. Her favorite pastime: punch guys in the throat and kick them in the crotch when they act like they know better than you. This advice has been proven; they will never try to talk over you again.

So there you have it, guys. I hope you enjoy this. Don't forget to comment and vote to help me out, and if you can check out my original stories: A Trick of Gods, The Jewel of Warsaw and Sweet Honey Death :)
