The Second Week of May 2018

Friday, MUST Film Festival Day 3

SwiftyTV Mansion

7pm

With Lemmy, Leopold and Bertha watching the various movies and short films at the festival site, Swifty, Jade and PB stayed inside the mansion to rehearse for tomorrow's film presentation. Tomorrow evening, they will showcase their movie for the first time and the trio received news that the movie theatre inside the Media Studies school will be a full house.

They had been ironing out the clinks in their 10-minute presentation for the past six hours to perfect their presentation. Jade and PB had done multiple presentations before and had been helping Swifty on his presentation skills. Their advice had been helpful given the improvements made to both the presentation and the content itself.

As the trio stopped to take a break, they heard the knock on the door to the office. Swifty's Mum brought them down for dinner at the ground floor's dining room. "I've cooked something special," she looked at them as they went down the staircase, hinting that she had been in the kitchen for a while.

When they entered the large dining area, they found a large pot at the centre of the table. That meant one thing: It was "spicy seafood stew" day, Swifty's favourite. "That's for good luck, you three."

Soon, they gorged their bowls of soup, paired with steamed jasmine rice. "I wanted to give your team some last words of encouragement," Swifty's Mum conversed with the trio in the middle of the meal. "You all had been doing excellent so far."

"No problem, Mum," Swifty had been getting seconds on the stew. It was the same stew as his childhood. Tons of seafood and kimchi inside the stew.

"So," Swifty's Mum cleared the plates and the leftovers for the others, "How's the preparations?"

"Absolutely well, Mum."

"Yeah," his brother PB nodded, "His presentation's been improving."

"No pressure, then. You got a fully booked theatre for the movie," Swifty's Mum returned with a fruit salad for dessert. As they ate the salad in silence, she realised the trio felt tired. "Surely, you three hadn't been rehearsing all day?" she asked.

Swifty, Jade and PB nodded. They had not arranged for small breaks in between.

"I'll get them to make your beds," Swifty's Mum had a suggestion. She ran to the maids to prepare the trio's beds for the night.

"I think we should debrief at the office before we sleep for the day," Swifty suggested. The other two agreed; they needed some shuteye before the big day.

After an online press conference inside the office with some university's interviewers who video chatted, he conducted one more debrief with his team before they tuck in for the night. As Swifty and Jade went to sleep, his phone vibrated for a moment. Swifty unlocked his phone and read a message someone sent him.
