The loud voice who was announcing couples to walk down the steps was speaking. Jake and Estella were always last so they would whisper with each other while waiting. "Okay guess what." "What?" "Fred asked me to the ball." "Really!" "Ya he is going to wait for me at the bottom of the steps." "That is awesome Stell." "I know right. Okay so we walk down I go with Fred you come with us I make you dance with Bailey then we dance I dance with Harry we go say hi to Lance the four of us join Ginny and Harry and Taylor and Percy I would imagine we sit next to George I want to sit next to Percy and Draco. We eat dance I dance with my dad Remus and Draco hang out with Lance pretty basic schedule this year." "Yep, and thanks for the Bailey thing." "Anytime I mean she did just get back from Australia oh and we have to hang out with Aubrey and Sam." "Oh ya I forgot they were coming this year." Then the voice spoke again. "JAKE SMITH AND ESTELLA BLACK." "That's us." They walked out into the hall and slowly made there way down the steps being very careful not to fall. They looked to the bottom of the steps and there were a few people waiting there Lance and Draco like every year. Then there was Bailey because they agreed to meet there. And a new addition Fred. They walked down and Estella gave Lance and Draco a huge hug. "Hey Lance nice decorations this year." "Thank you and it's great to see you Stella." "It's good to see you Lance." "Nice to see you too Jake." "Oh Lance guess what you know how you work with Hagrid at Hogwarts." "Yes I do." "Well get used to seeing me I am transferring to Hogwarts this year." "Well then I have something to look forward to." "Are you really moving to Hogwarts Stell?" "Ya I think so Drake." Draco picked her up in a tight hug. Fred couldn't help but feel a little jealous. "Oh Drake this is my date Fred Weasley." "It great to meet you Fred but just so you know if you hurt her me Jake and Harry will hurt you." "I will never hurt her if I ever do I would be crazy so you have every right to hurt meet." "Cool cool I have protective Drake Jake and Harry. Okay so dancing schedule I will dance with Jake Harry and Fred the first time and Remus Draco and my dad the second time. Any problems." No one said anything so they went on to dancing. After they danced they all sat down to eat. Estella laughed so hard at one point she almost choked on her food. Next they went back to dancing once she finished her scheduled dancing there was extra time so she did a girls dance. Then Fred tapped her on the shoulders. "Hey come with me." "Okay." They walked outside in the courtyard. "You look beautiful tonight." "Thanks." "So you really do this every year?" "Yep me and Jake fell once." "Really?" "Yep!" "Wow. So..." "ya?" "I was wondering since I didn't really get any time with you I was wondering if you wanted to go to Diagon alley tomorrow?" "Like a date?" "Well ya." "Then sure I would love to." "Great hey you good?" "Ya just cold." "Here take my jacket." "Thanks." They walked for a little bit before heading inside. Everyone said goodbye then Jake and Estella hung out with Lance. Before heading up to bed. Once they got up stairs there was a lot to talk about. "Fred asked me out again." "Congrats. Me and Bailey kissed." "That's amazing!" "Thanks." They talked a little bit more before falling fast asleep.
So I could technically end the story here but I think I am going to continue it. I think of Lance as the grandpa to Estella and Jake Harry and Draco are like Brothers to Estella. The song at the top fits Jake and Estella's friendship almost perfectly.
