"Come on Hermione!" Ginny exclaimed annoyed by Hermiones tardiness of telling her parents goodbye as she had to board the Hogwarts express.

"Ok! I'm coming, I'm coming!"
Hermione defensively said climbing into the train with her trunks in hand.

"Here" Ginny pointed to the empty compartment as Hermione started to pile there trunks above.

They both took a seat across from each other, Hermione getting comfortable with a book while Ginny inspecting her new gear they picked up for quidditch.

"Where's Harry and Ron?" Hermione questioned the red-headed girl sitting across from her.

"They needed to talk to McGongall about something, they boarded the train before us" Ginny explained still examining every inch of new gear for this season.

"Oh, and they didn't need me?" Hermione frowned at the thought of Professor McGongall only needing the boys and not her.

"I don't think so, maybe if you didn't take so long saying bye she might have called you too" Ginny teased her slightly upset friend. "Hey, I'm sure it's nothing important" Ginny reassured her frowning friend.

"Yea, I'm sure your right" Hermione said a big unsure but willing to try and to get about while reading her favorite muggle stories.

After an hour everyone started to retrieve their trunks from above their compartments, still no Harry, still no Ron. Hermione was growing worried for her two best friends. Hermione had always been the one to keep those two boys in check and out of trouble through out their years of being good friends. She was always the responsible one, but now she couldn't tell them anything because she hadn't seen them at all.

"Ginny! Wake up! It's time to go!" Hermione tapped her friend on the shoulder. Ginny was leaning against the glass with a few items for quidditch next to her seat, half asleep.

"Ok, ok, I'm up!" Ginny said slowly stared to rise from her seat yawning.

They both stepped out of the compartment grabbing their trunks above them.

"Ginny, they haven't came back, not once" Hermione gave Ginny a worried look chewing her lip to hard to realize how much she was chewing on it.

"Really? That's, that's really weird, I'm sure they are perfectly fine, come on" Ginny gave a worried glance almost as though  she was just reassuring herself and not Hermione.

The two girls hopped off the express glancing around looking for the two missing boys.

Once the feast started Hermiones lip was trickling with blood from her teeth. Both of the girls had asked multiple people from their house if they had seen the boys, all answered with a different form of no.

"Ginny! I'm really getting scared now!" Hermione whisper yelled across to Ginny.

"Me too, what do we do? Maybe-"

"Hey guys!" Harry cut Ginny off cheerfully approaching the two worried girls with Ron by his side.

"Harry!" Hermione screeched with anger.

"Ron!" Ginny said in the same manner as Hermione.

Both girls fuming with anger.

"Where were you both? You had us worried sick!" Hermione exclaimed as the two boys took a seat next to the fuming girls, scared is what both of the boys felt as soon as they realized their anger was rising high.

"Well McGongall wanted to speak to us, she suggested we both stay in her compartment because of how long she knew she had to speak to us" Harry explained out of fear caused by the two girl sitting next to them.

"Yea, she talked the whole time, we couldn't get to see you guys" Ron finished off trembling as he piled his plate with food.

"Really! And you didn't think to tell us you were staying with McGongall!" Ginny slapped both of the boys on the back of the head, Harry and Ron winced, grimacing at their mistake.

Hermione opened her mouth to rant about how stupid they had been for not telling either of them about staying in a different compartment, she got cut of by clinking coming from McGongall.

"I have an announcement, please quiet down! There, now, this announcement only concerns the five years and up" McGongall started eyeing everyone in the great hall. "Now, as you all know, we do our best to support house unity, with that we have decided to have each and every house being split up living with a different house" McGongall was going continue until faint words of protest were escalating as she spoke. "Silence! Please, I know this won't be easy but you will mange, now I will be calling you name and sorting you into a group, the group you will be living with for the rest of the year, please wait to hear your name and group as I read the name of the groups who will be living together" McGongall finished off her speech, grabbing the parchment filled with names of the groups she would announce.

Hermione zoned out, giving her focus around the great hall to see gasps and horrified expressions, whispers of profanity's being spread around

"Mr. Potter, Mrs. Lovegood, Mrs. Granger, Mrs, Parkinson, Mr. Malfoy, Mr. Nott, Mrs. weasley, Mr. Zabini, Mr. Longbottom, Mrs. Brown, Mrs, Greengrass" Hermione widened her eyes, horrified about what she just heard coming from McGongalls mouth.

"Oh my Merlin! This can't happening!" Ginny exclaimed almost as horrified as Hermione.

"I can't believe we won't be living together!" Ron added in anger, slamming his fists on the table with full force of anger flowing through him.

"Yea, it's going to be weird" Harry was a bit more calmer about the situation than his friends but was definitely disappointed about their new living arrangements.

The feast continued, McGongall approached each group to inform them about where their dormitory would be, rules, the password and extra information.

Here they were sitting in their new commons room awkwardly on two different sides of the room, one side all the slytherins sat, on the other side all the Gryffindors sat.

"Ok, night Mione, night Gin, I'm going to get some sleep!" Harry got out of his seat feeling the awkward tension in the room between the two houses.

"Night!" Hermione and Ginny said in unison as they both got up their selfs heading towards their dormitory, they were each allowed two people to a dorm. Hermione and Ginny of course took the dorm together. Luna and Lavender were sharing one together and Harry was with Neville.

The slytherins were muttering something to each other about the Gryffindor as they left.

This isn't going to be a good year, Hermione thought to herself.
