"Hu-Huh?" I choked on some spit, trying to spit out something to stop the swarming thoughts and ideas in my head. "Lover?"
"Oh Y/n, how naive, how little," Chrollo chuckled. "Eat your fruit my dear, we will speak more later,"
"But I want to speak about this now," I protested.
"So, if i'm correct, you would like to talk about going against the troupes back at this moment, while they are on a mission?" He gave me a stare, taking the bowl of fruit from my hands and examining a apple. "If you would like we can," He looked at me before taking a sharp bite out of it.
"N-No," I stuttered, looking down at my lap.
"Good, eat," He handed me a ripe strawberry, looking fresh and juicy. I moved it to my lips, taking a small bite that ended up including half of it. I chewed and swallowed the beautiful and sweet treat. Feeling the juices from it coating my face.
Wanting to have that same, fullfilling feeling, I reached down and took a few more, chomping on them a bit quicker this time.
"Oh my," Chrollo chuckled, placing down his apple and licking his thumb. "You silly girl, what would you do without me? Hm?" He moved the wet thumb to the skin surrounding my lips, removing the leftover juices, and plopping his thumb back into his mouth sucking.
I stared at the man, truly admiring his features at the moment. It was obvious why my sister originally fell for this man. Why he was something else, intelligent, handsome, cunning, sophisticated, etc.
My sister was also one for looks and Chrollo was graced with that. Liking people for looks wasn't truly a bad thing. But that is what lead to the end of her life.

"Mommy, who is this man?" The younger girl fixed her gaze on the taller and somewhat handsome male.
"This is a friend from a neighboring farm. He wanted to become acquainted with your sister, and I think thatis a splendid idea," The older woman placed a few pieces of toast onto the table with the freshly made jam, gesturing to the male to take it.
"Thank you," He mumbled, digging into the light breakfast. He looked to the sister of Ember, with a cunning look. He had a plan, and nothing was going to stop that. "I'm Kane, and you are?" He questioned, looking across the table to the girl munching on her own piece of toast.
"Y/n!" She spoke, mouth filled with bread. Kane laughed at the cute girls cheeks filled. He couldn't help the thought that this Y/n was more beautiful than Ember, the one he would soon fall in love with.
"Kane!" A voice called out, throwing her hands around his shoulders. "Why you look absolutely divine today! We must leave soon if you want to make it to the play the towns holding," Ember hummed, taking a seat next to the boy.
