-third perspective-
"brother, wake up, you can not leave me like that" y/n cried out, shaking her brother vigorously. In a tent of the royals, she sat there with her brother's head on her lap, begging for him to wake up, but he was already dead. The maids tried to console her, but all in vain. She just couldn't get over the fact that her brother was dead in a war, he sacrificed his life for his kingdom. The young king died due to several injuries. Many fears roamed around her mind.If her brother is dead, who will take the throne? What if her cruel and greedy uncle takes it? What will she say to the people of her kingdom?
She knew she couldn't take the throne, for she was a girl. This was a rule from their ancestors and she knew she couldn't break it. She had no mother, no father, her brother was everything to her, the very family she had.
Her brother, Kim seokjin was someone to never lower his head, one of the youngest but the most powerful king of the time. "death over the defeat" was his principle and so he did not give up and got badly injured.
"princess y/n, please understand, he can not come back," the old doctor spoke and wished that the princess wouldn't be mad. "we have to go back as soon as possible and let the people know about the misery" her sister, soowon held her shoulder softly but y/n aggressively jerked her hand off. Soo-won was her father's illegitimate daughter and so, y/n never liked her.
"apart from the number of people present here, if someone came to know about my brother's death, their heads will be off their bodies" y/n sternly said after wiping off the tears from her cheeks, making everyone gulp at the young princess's cold as ice voice. "Guards! Please Take sister soowon away and lock her up in a room, make sure she keeps her mouth shut" y/n ordered.
This is what always happened, y/n always got more rights on her father's and brother's property than soowon. Y/n wasn't a bitchy type to bully someone vulnerable, but she did it to soowon, for she knew that she was just here for her father's money. All the maids knew how soowon was but no one dared to voice it out. She was also a princess after all.
The guards-without any hesitation-took her away while she loudly cursed at y/n.
"princess, with all the due respect, I would like to ask why did you stop us from letting anyone know about his majesty's death?" the advisor said after bowing at the youngest princess. She made her brother carefully lie down and stood up, her head held up with confidence. Something was going on in her mind, but no one knew about it, yet.
"I know what I am doing Mr. Choi, all you have to do is follow what I say"
"Your wish is my command princess" Mr. Choi bowed. He asked her what did he have to do.
"you guys go back to the palace, and they should not come to know about his majesty's death, no one is allowed to see him besides everyone present here"
"what about you, princess?" Mr. Choi asked politely.
"I have some work to do, don't worry about me, I will be back in a month but till then just do as I said." she looked at everyone present there and they bowed to her showing that they are going to obey.
She threw her cloak around her shoulders and left from there with her horse. What she was thinking about doing was dangerous and maybe impossible too, but she was determined.
After riding the horse for 2 days straight, she finally reached her destination. A small town with a big treasure. She had a content smile on her face and decide to take a rest at the nearby lake.
She washed her face and drank some water from the lake when her eyes fell on a man walking by there.
"sir! Excuse me sir" the girl called him as he turned around with a frown. "good afternoon sir, but do you happen know Mr. Han-gyeol?"
