Capture the flag

Also, it's finally time to play capture the flag.

There's a red team, and a blue team, we're on the red team.

Okay if you do not know capture the flag then it is a game where it is about taking the flags of others without your team's flag being taken and we play with real weapons.

Luke and I are put together in a way either to be a diversionary maneuver or so we can take the flag, it depends on whether they discover us.

We are set to follow the river since we can control the water, but we have to stay at the edge of the forest so we are not an easy target.

Chiron explains the rules.

The horn sounds and that means we are on our way.

We run off as some of the first, and it does not take long before we meet someone.

We meet three children from the Ares cabin, which we manage as easily as nothing. We see someone from the Hermes cabin chasing, someone from our team, so we take the Hermes kids as lightly as nothing with arrows.

Of course we do not kill them, but we shoot them in the legs so they can't run. It goes pretty well we do not meet someone we can't handle, and then we see the flag where it often is, and I know that from my father, that was also where he found out who his father is.

It stands completely unprotected so we can figure out that it is a trap, so we agree that one of us is swimming in the river and that the other is ready with bow and arrow.

It ends up being me who has to be in the water because I'm better at controlling the water.

I do not have to take my equipment off because my clothes only get wet if I want it to get wet.

I just swim and I make sure that there is some seaweed over me so I am not that easy to get hit on.

I hear screams, I do not know who it is, I just know that it is not Luke, because I can know his screams, so I stick to the plan.

We agreed that he would make an eagle scream if I shall get up.

Then came the eagle scream, I jump out of the water and land next to Luke, who has been surrounded by 10 people.

We look at each other and nod, and then we go to it otherwise.

We fight back to back, but they are too many so we are pushed into the river, but that is not wise, because our grandfather is after all Poseidon, so we make a huge tsunami and wash down over them.

We run to the flag and take it.

Now we'll just go back to base.

We agree that it is wisest to climb, and jump between the trees, because red team has the best archers.

Now it's about being fast, but without being seen.

We agree that Luke will take the flag because he's faster and I'm better at shooting from trees.

We move quickly forward and when we hear something or someone we stop and see if they or it is hostile or friendly.

We have been moving forward for some time, we have not seen so many enemies or friends, but now we can see our defenders they are fighting bravely, but they are losing.

We must act quickly. We agree that I will go in and that he will protect the flag and shoot with bow and arrow from the tree.

I jump in where they are closest to losing, and after a hard fight we have fought them back, I signal to Luke that there is free now and that he must hurry before the blue team comes back with reinforcements.

He jumps down and runs over and puts it next to our own flag, the defenders and us sits and wait for the reinforcements to come so they can see that they have lost.

They arrive after 5 minutes and looks completely dead as they discover they have lost, and shortly after all the campers have arrived, Chiron, Nico, Frank and Hazel arrive.

They announce that the red team wins and that the team must choose 1-5 people to wear a laurel wreath, the laurel wreath is a symbol of victory, they all vote for me, Luke and the three defenders.

I don't know wat to say, it's amazing, we get up on their shoulders and they carry us over to the lake and throw us into it.

Me and Luke are healed because water heals us, so we heal the other participants who have been injured, and I feel like I actually belong here.

I look over at Luke, he's telling the others how we did it while he's healing people.

We get the laurel wreath on our heads, and I'm having a great time.

I think we are remembered, not for what our parents did or do, but for what we are going to do. So basically I think we're doing well here.
