Witches

In my books witches are considered the pillars of magic. Everything has a form a magic tied in with it. Vampires immortality is magic, shifting is magic, and so on. Witches absorb the magic and manipulate it to their needs

Overexertion of magic is possible especially for hybrid witches. This comes is side effects, the body will start shutting off some of it functions to preserve itself. Loss of vision and hearing are only a few examples. With a potion and time the side effects will fade until enough magic has been absorbed in the body. In extreme cases of overexertion the witches body will go into a coma.

Some witches have natural gifts or be more fluent in certain magic areas like mind manipulation, black magic, blood magic, ect. The rarest gift would be the one of visions.

Currently there have only been a few witches in the book and in all of them it is stated that David is the most powerful witch. So far David has only been if the Of Runt stories.

Besides witches and hybrids others like fairies, demons, and of course Gods and Goddesses can perform magic. Fairies a limited to nature, some healing magic, as well a a natural charm. Demons vary on their ability.

Gods and Goddess vary in their abilities but what they are able to do they excel at.

It is common for a witch to live with vampires, especially in their Castle due to Witches being able to help vampires have biological children. Some werewolf packs keep witches as well, mostly as healers for the humans in their packs. Witches do have covens and majority of pack witches and vampires employed witches belong to the same coven to try and keep the groups from fighting.
