The winter festival finally arrives, and I'm excited. This has been on a poster on every corner of the school.

I walk out of my room, and hear my sister laughing in her room so I pop my head in to see what's going on.

"Hi." Scott says awkwardly.

"Oh, sorry I didn't know you were over."

"Please don't tell dad." Allison begged.

"My lips are sealed." I say as I start to walk away.

Dad hasn't really been home, so even if I wanted to tell him it would be over the phone and that's just petty.

Scott catches me in the hallway before I head down the stairs.

"Hey, Amber. I'm really sorry about how everything went down."

"Don't worry about it. I have a ton to blame on my side too. What happened was a bit of an overreaction, but we're good now."

"Good to hear." Scott says with a smile.

After talking to Scott I head downstairs to a note written from our dad that he had an emergecy at work, and had to leave early.

Shocker

I feel bad thinking this way because he's just trying to support us. I always miss the days the three of us would hangout, but that's all a faint memory now.

I walk over to the cabinet, and take out some cereal. I fill the bowl half way and pour in some milk. I sit down in my chair and scroll through my notifications. A shocked expression comes across my face when I see that Stiles messaged me. I open it to realize that he texted me at 3 am.

"Do you wanna go to the winter festival together?" It says.

"Of course! I'm excited to go. I wanna see what all the rave is about." I text back.

"Awesome! I'll pick you up at 6 tonight." He replies almost instantly.

I hear Allison and Scott come down the stairs.

"Hey, Amber!" Allison says pleasently.

"Hi" I reply.

"Scott and I were thinking about going on a roadtrip for the day."

"Sounds like fun. You know you guys are going to miss the big winter festival." I say dramatically as a joke.

"It's not that big of a deal. It's not too much fun once you actually get there." Scott informs me.
