Beyond The Borders of Liyue

Liyue Misson I

A/N : just know, I'm not very experienced with writing on my phone so don't mind if there is a few typos! thank you (:

XINGQIU POV :

It was a warm afternoon when me and Chongyun went to go get a mission, we had to travel a long way so it was going to be, well obviously long.

You see, I've had feelings for my best friend for a long time. I've never showed them since I was scared of being rejected, especially since he's my best friend.

"Xingqiu. Oi! Xingqiu-? Earth to Xingqiu~" Chongyun had said, trying to get Xingqiu to snap out of day dreaming.

"Huh- oh, yeah?"  Xingqiu opened his mouth and blurted out words so he wouldn't stutter in the first part.

"What were you doing? I called your name 3 times, day dreaming again?" Chongyun teased Xingqiu, only to realize that he was reading again.

CHONGYUN POV :

Xingqiu is my best friend, I would never leave him even if it meant something valuable from me that he accidentally took or broke. I trust him and even I will protect him, even if it meant dying!

''I trust him with my life, and forever will.''

"Chongyun, let's go get some food materials for the trip. And weapon reinforcing for any enemies." Xingqiu requested and so they did.
They prepared for the next week, getting everything they could for now. They had a long way to go.

"Hey Xingqiu?" "Hm." "What would you think about when we get back, together of course." "Hmm.. maybe.. training some more."

Chongyun booed at the sound of that, well they didn't really have anything to do besides train and go to school.

Xingqiu continued walking out of Liyue with Chongyun who was eating another popsicle.

"I'm sorry I couldn't marry you.." Xingqiu muttered quiet enough that Chongyun didn't hear him.

"What did you say?"
"Nothing."
"No, tell me, what did you say?"
"I said nothing, I muttered nonsense."
"Alright then.."

The two carried on walking out of Liyue Harbor and soon to realize slimes were already there attacking citizens. Until Aether had stumbled upon the two and had gotten rid of the slimes.

"Ah, hey kiddos!" Aether yelled and waved at the two young ones.

The younger two waved at the older one and rushed over to see Aether covered in marks, neck to arm.

"Aether, what's up with the marks?"
"Oh these-?" Aether thought of an excuse quick and answered.
"A wolf attacked me."

The two younger ones knowing who the 'wolf' was, they snickered and flew off the cliff towards the sunset as they hit the ground.

Razor appeared behind Aether.

"Who?"

"Ah, they're friends from liyue. They aren't from Mondstadt."

"Oh, okay."

XINGQIU POV :

We flew off onto the sunset until we hit the ground, it was long but it was nice to feel the air in our faces while we laughed at eachother's hair flying across the place.

"Hey, Chongyun? Where are we gonna place camp?"

"Maybe somewhere where I can attack easily. Like the water. It'll be cool to see the stars set by the ocean too!"

"Hmm.. okay." Xingqiu agreed, though it wasn't his ideal place, he liked the idea of the stars setting by the ocean.

They looked around, seeing for a good place to set up a camp fire and tents. They soon found a place where they could see the stars and water align perfectly.

They set up camp and laughed at eachother while the fire burned and cackled with the two.

They saw a line connecting the stars, and pointed them all out. They knew at that moment, they had fallen in love.

Xingqiu rested his head on Chongyun's shoulder while Chongyun stared at the stars laughing.
They fell asleep together, resting on eachother peacefully.
