The flashlight guided them into the forest as they walked. Leaves crunched and animals squeaked and communicated as the kids walk deeper into the forest. Crescent would be leading as gradient hanged next to Raven and Paper-jam, though it was pretty quiet due to the it being so dark and quiet.

A cat came by, thumping its foot as it came close to gradient. He would look down at the feline and bent down to pet it, chilling softly.

'What a unique looking cat..I wonder where they came from though'

"Gradient, you doing alright?"

Gradient snapped into reality, looking up at lux who asked the question being the worrisome person she was. Gradient nodded as he got up and started to walk, though the cat followed, always being beside the glitch.

He didn't mind as they continued to walk where the coordinates leaded crescent and him in the dawn of this morning.

No figure, no weird glow, no sensation to sleep. The two were dumb founded as they blinked and looked around as if they were lost children. They wanted to prove what they saw was real, but now all the evidence was gone.

"But we..wait we, I swear.." The two looked at the others who seemed to have felt being lied to, but as well as being worrisome that their friends are getting lack of sleep.

They already look like zombies with the messy look and not noticeable but noticeable eye bags under their dull eyes. Paper-Jan would put his hands on either side of both of the two's shoulders.

"We can tell Nightmare and Science your not feeling well, cause even though you most likely lied, you guys are lacking sleep and I can't allow that."

Pj lectures them as they headed back, the cat wouldn't be there anymore though, gradient would look at crescent to hope that he saw the same thing. Crescent would nod, he was the other one who a acknowledged the cats existence at the time he appeared.

12:07 am

The library was all dusty, but at the moment the glitched skeleton didn't care, he needed answers for him and his roommate at the moment. He heard the door creak open more, he looked behind him as he grabbed his glasses, pushing them onto the bridge of his bony nose.

"Anyone here...?" He spoke softly, but loud enough for someone to know he heard them, with no response he exhaled as he looked down at his lap to see the strange cat.

From what he can tell, the cat had black fur, as dark as night. But as well as lava like red covering his left eye, melting off his cheek which was suprisgnly soft and warm.

Gradient blinked as he looked down at the creature, he would give a smile to know he has company now. He held the book with his more dominant hand as he petted his new cat friend.

He heard the door freak again as well as a pile of books falling down. He yelped as he looked down at the sleeping cat. He would pick up the cat as he got the rest of the books, shoving it into his travel bag as he headed downstairs at the exit.

He always got Erie feelings from this place due to how it aged and the history behind this old camp, he remembered of how when they first came here science mentioned how most of their parents came here, so the best idea now was to ask him how it was like to be in this camp and if anything weird or mythical happened.

The cat mewls as they looked up at gradient, he responded back.

"We will get you food in the cafeteria I promise, just.." he trailed off as he looked down at the cat who looked up at him still. He some how understood the cat, he couldn't understand the other animals but this cat seemed to speak perfect English.

Science sat in the kitchen of the cafeteria, drinking a smoothie as he heard the door swing open. He saw gradient and gave a wave, greeting him.

"Hey gray, what's up? You seem panicked" he examined him, gradient would search for the cat food, placing the cat on the counter who would slip it's face under science's hand. Sci gasped as he picked up the cat with glee.

"August?!? I thought you were gone..?"
"You own this cat?!"

Gradient exclaimed, being shocked at this new information. Science would nuzzle the cat as he looked at his pupil.

"He was here when the second summer came, which was our last year at camp!"

Science would explain, gradient placed the cat food down and lets august munch on his lunch. Gradient would sit on the counter next to him and asked.

"So science, could you tell me what happened at camp..? Like anything... unusual?"

"..You saw the figure? Didn't you?..."

A/N: Aaaaaaaaaa I should have finished as soon as break came (last Friday) But no- anyways I want to wish everyone a happy holiday! I don't know if I'll update the book again quickly as you can see I'm working on more videos for my YouTube channel! (Which will show animations for Camp evertale soon, I have one in the works!)

If you want to check it out, my handle on there is: ItsGrai

Which is most of my social handles! So yup! And another thing- I've been realizing my bloodMoon (Crescent x Gradient) art has been going on Pinterest and such, and the one in the bath, that has my watermark is not getting credited, just say "Artist is ItsGrai on insta/amino/YouTube" I don't have Twitter so if any of my art is on there, do not assume it's me unless I put it in my bio! Thank you very much! Besides that you can use my art for anything 💕

Happy holidays and have a nice day! 💕✨
