The main entrance door shuts and Harry flinches awake. His tired eyes slowly blink themselves awake and he licks his bottom lip, tasting the dried off gin.

He doesn't remember much before passing out on his velvet green couch comfortably perched in the middle of his wide spaced living room.

With a raspy groan, he pulls himself up and turns to see Maya standing before him with a brown paper takeout bag.

There's a look he can't decipher on her face but she's masking it with a little smile. The guilt punches him in the chest and he attempts to play it cool. Maya walks over to him, sits down and places the bag right before him.

"What's tha'?" he clears his throat.

"Breakfast," she looks around. "Before you ask, the housekeeper let me in as she was leaving."

"You don't have to explain," he chuckles.

"I do, cos I don't even know if I'm welcomed here," Maya blinks his way.

"Why would you even say that?" he frowns.

He knows why.

"Harry, you've aired me for a week now and that's pretty weird," she stares at him.

"I swear I've been busy. Needed to do some work with LA and yeah timezones messed me up," he attempts to explain.

Maya adjusts on the couch and gives him a curious look. She wants to believe whatever he's saying, but it's hard.

"Not buying that," she says.

"C'mon babe," he scoffs.

"Maya, to you." she raises an eyebrow.

"Whoa, you're actually upset. I'm sorry," he quickly says.

"Not yet. I kept checking in with Niall and he was somehow in touch with you," Maya folds her arms, entering serious mode.

Harry sighs, moving closer to her. He tenderly brushes her cheek with a finger and Maya smoothly moves his hand away.

"What's on your mind?" he asks.

"I'm just wondering why you aired me. I literally said it some moments ago," she rolls her eyes with a smile.

"I was buried in work and I've been shitty with replying messages," he exhales.

"I just think it's funny that this happened right after games night at Niall's place," she raises an eyebrow.

"Okay, you're heading to something," he chuckles.

"I am," Maya giggles. "Is there something you want to tell me about Mona?"

Harry thickly swallows and clears his throat.

"Mona?"

"That's what I said, baby,"

Right. Mona hasn't been responding to his messages and calls since that night.

It's been frustrating. It has been confusing. It might be the reason he has been isolating from the world.

He doesn't even know why but he just wants to hide from everything.

"Mona is my best friend, I told you that," he says.

"Yeah but the chemistry and mood I walked in on last week screamed something else," she tells him.

"Oh come off it," he laughs a little.

"What? The whole thing screamed will they or won't they vibes. The vibes don't lie, mate," she playfully nudges him.
