I woke up to someone jumping on me, that someone was my little sister Alia.
"Ughhh Alia!!!!" I say jumping up from my bed and chased her out of my room. I'm the middle child of five, so I'm lucky to get my own room even if it is in the loft of the barn.
I open the top drawer of my old dresser and put on a tunic and old jeans. I grabbed a pair of socks and my knee high black riding boots and climbed down the ladder.
I walked out into the morning sunlight and began to braid my hair. My hair reached down to mid- thigh when it was loose so it a brain it reached just past my butt.
I saw my Older brothers Mac (19) and Rowan (18) working on feeding the cows, my little brother Arron (15) feeding the chickens, and Alia (13) running with a basket to collect the eggs.
I walked to the stalls and went to my horse Starstreak, a black Asterion horse with a white patch on her shoulder and white speckles that made it look like a shooting star.
"Hey girl," I cooed "do you wanna go for a ride?"
"Neigh!!!" She snickered, prancing in place.
I smiled and grabbed my leather reins and bridal. I opened up her stall door and she let me but on her bridal and reins easily. I walked her out and soon we were galloping down the path through the forest by our farm so fast I felt like I could fly.
I grabbed my bow from my shoulder and an arrow, and shot at the targets I had made months ago. I made a bullseye every time. When I got done through the course I still had about 20 arrows left.
Out of breath I said to Starstreak patting her sweat slick neck "Wanna go for round tw-" A scream rang though the forest and birds scattered.
"Alia." I stated horror taking root in my head. I grabbed Starstreaks reins and we shot through the forest faster than we've ever gone before.
We shot through the edge of the forest and got to the hill leading to our farm and saw Alia being dragged by a cloaked figure, my siblings fighting against more cloaked figures that held them back.
I grabbed my bow and shot at the figure that was dragging my little sister. It went clean through its shoulder, the other black figures turned towards me and I shot at the ones holding my brothers. The figures vanished into black smoke before any of my arrows reached them, they reappeared a second later and they hit my brothers over the head and they each fell limp.
I screamed and fire erupted from the ground burning the black figures to ash but leaving my brothers unharmed. I was shocked but I couldn't pause for a moment because Starstreak had reached my little sister and I lept from her back and rolled towards my sister.
I tried to tackle the stranger putting all my weight into it, but he just vanished and I passed through black smoke instead of hitting a body I quickly grabbed my sister and told her to run and get to our brothers. Just then a whirl of wind appeared beside me and a hand reached out and grabbed me, I heard a winny behind me as Starstreak lept and followed me through the portal.
