An hour later after leaving Florence, I arrived in the forests of Volterra; my captors not wanting to give away that they are here.

Cowards.

"Gabriel," Stefan calls. "Go ahead and bring some reinforcements with you. We'll be right behind you. Call me when your main task is done."

"Certainly, master." Gabriel says before running off into Volterra.

As he runs off, I only hope that a Volturi guard would see and get rid of him before he could do whatever he is going to do.

"Main task?" I hiss. "What are you going to do to my coven, Stefan?"

Stefan looks at me. "It doesn't concern you."

I snarl. "I think it does when it is my coven."

"You won't have to worry about them much longer, dear. You aren't going to be here much longer, anyway. After you go, your coven goes. And so, they join you in death."

My anger skyrockets and I pounce and pin him to the ground, snarling. "Don't you dare threaten them!"

Stefan growls back before arching his back so he can shoot his leg into my abdomen, kicking me into the air before landing on the ground.

"Don't be so childish, Amity. You are wasting our time." he snaps his fingers and Vector grabs me, pulling me up from the ground. "Brother?"

Vladimir looks at him and nods. "Just got the call from Gabriel. It took him and the others a few minutes, but they finally subdued most of the guards with influences and death. Volterra is ready to be invaded."

Stefan nods with a smirk. "Perfect."

"Well!" Vladimir claps his hands. "It is time, my children!" he calls out to the crowd that assembled behind me. "Time to reclaim the world as ours! We will have never-ending feasts! No insane laws that prohibit us from eating too much in one area and from exposing ourselves to the weak ones called humans! It is time to be who we are meant to be: the human's predator!"

The crowd cheers.

"You won't get away with this." I tell him.

"Oh, dear." he shakes his head. "I already have."

Vladimir looks towards the crowd and with a nod, I am forced to run with Vector and the others as we run into Volterra. Volturi guards that were in the city jump from the buildings onto the Romanian newborns, severing their heads from their body.

As I am watching the battle, I recognize a guard. Santiago.

"Santiago!" I yell.

Santiago looks around before landing his eyes on me. His eyes widen. "Lady Amity? Lady Amity!" before he could run towards me, a newborn drops down onto him and my breath hitches. Right in front of my eyes, I see the newborn plant their hands onto Santiago's chin and pull his head upward, cracks forming.

"No!" I yell, desperately trying to get out of Vector's strong grip. "Let me go!"

"Let her watch." Vladimir says.

"Yes, let her watch." Suplica, who just had come in, says. "I never liked him anyway."

"Neither did I, sister." Athenodora agrees.

I watch as the newborn manages to pull off Santiago's head with the help of two other newborns who had restrained his arms. Santiago's head falls to the ground.

He was dead.

"Santiago!" I cry out.

"Poor guy...He's dead." Athenodora says with no remorse. "Aw, look! She's going to cry!"

Venom was gathering in my eyes. I turn towards my captors. "You will pay. You may have me restrained now, but I warn you. You will pay."

Athenodora waves her hands like I said nothing. "Yeah, yeah."

"Enough." Stefan's voice rings. "We need to move. Come on."

I loudly protest and struggle as Vector throws me over his shoulder to jump over the castle's walls. Once he lands on the ground, he drops me and I look at my surroundings. The castle looked the same as it did when I left. The only difference was unlike last time, it was being invaded.

The Romanians go first through the castle's doors and Vector drags me as he follows them. The hallways are barren of any Volturi guards. The only people in the hallway were us. Vladimir smiles as he realizes there is no one to stop him and he points towards the lobby.

"This way." he says.

He leads us into the lobby where two minions stand on guard outside of the throne room doors. "The Volturi kings?" Vladimir asks them.

"Subdued. They've been put into the dungeon." one says.

Vladimir smiles. "Perfect."

"Would you like us to open the door for you, masters?" the other asks.

"Yes." Stefan tells them.

The guards nod and take a hold of the door's handles and pull it open, revealing the lovely, marbled room, but this time it took a different look.

It was eerie and there were guards that were in a trance lined up against the wall. Gabriel was in the room as well. He had managed to influence them. But where were the elite guards? They were nowhere in sight.

"Good job, Gabriel." Vladimir pats Gabriel on the back. "You've influenced how many?"

"Most of the guards, master. Only the elite are missing." he says.

"That's no bother. Amira and Tessa!" two blonde, pale women come out with identical features. They were obviously sisters. "Find the elite guard. And Amira?"

"Yes, master?"

"Don't fail to subdue their gifts. Especially Jane's, Alec's, and Felix's. We don't want any trouble, now do we?"

"No, master."

"Good. Now go." As they leave the throne room, Vladimir turns towards me. "Amira and Tessa. Sisters. Amira has the gift to turn off anyone's powers. She can very well do multiple people. Tessa, however, has no gift, but they prefer to work together. Now," he clasps his hands. "I suppose we should call your mates from the dungeons, hm? I am sure they want to see you, and you them."

I glare.

"No? Well, that's too bad." he looks at Vector. "I got her. Go get her mates."

"Yes, master."
