Under a bright blue sky, there were laying two figures, no more than 11 years old, a boy and a girl watching the clouds while they held hands. Touya and Haru where friends since they were born, their houses are next to each other and their mothers are genuinely good friends; the only relief that Rei, Touyas's mother, had living in that nightmare that Todoroki Enji used to call home, at least she has her best friend near her. But sometimes that wasn't enough. Todoroki Rei was forced into an arranged marriage to a powerful man, Todoroki Enji, owner of one of the most influential corporations in the country. He saw the potential in Rei, she is athletic, with beautiful white hair, intelligent, and most important, heiress of the third most successful corporations in the country. She fit perfectly in Enji's plan, conceive the perfect kid, a kid so intelligent, so athletic that he can be the worthy heir of his company.

When Touya was born, Enji started his plan almost immediately, he forced the kid to receive tutoring every day, he was also was forced to train every martial art that his father commanded him to learn. It happened to be stressful and for an 11 years old child, but at least he has his brothers and sister and also his best friend (and crush), Haru. Therefore when his father was working he could go out and play with his siblings and best friend and experiment how it was to be a kid.

"Tou-chan", the girl with brown long hair called. "Hmm?", answered the boy with his eyes closed. "You want to eat dinner at my house? My mom said we can have ice cream after", Haru asks with a smile on her face. "Sorry Haru, I can't. My father will be home early and I need to train" Touya said with sadness in his blue eyes, he genuinely wanted to spend more time with her but he can't or his father would be furious. "Tou-chaaaan" the girl pouted, "You know I will be gone for an entire week to visit my grandma, and lately we haven't been able to play because you are always studying or training, I don't like it" the girl complained. She knew something was wrong, before they were 7 years old Touya's hair color was red, but now is completely white, she asked him, but he would only say it's normal because his mother and siblings have it white. She also noticed the bruises on his pale skin, and how he was always tired, Haru was worried for his friend. And it didn't help that she once listened to a conversation between her mother and aunty, her aunty was crying and saying that she was tired of the hell she is forced to live in, but of course, Haru didn't understand at the moment.

"I'm sorry Haru, I will recompense you once you come back, I promise", the white hair boy said with gentle eyes, that kind of smile that always makes Haru understand that everything was going to be fine, but this time was different, she felt something strange, yet he let it pass. "Okaaaay, is a promise", she said cheerfully lifting her pinky. "But before you leave I will give you something so you don't forget me Tou-chan. Close your eyes", Haru said with a determined face. "What are you saying I could never forget you", he said. "Just close your eyes!" she demanded. "Okay okay, I will", Touya said while he closed his eyes. Haru quickly leaned in and planted a peck on his cheek, Touya opened wide his eyes, she started running towards her home "Bye Tou-chan, see you in a week!" she said while she ran away. The boy was astonished, he just stayed there, while he touched his face with his fingers. "So soft" he murmurs.

"Agghhh" the 11-year-old kid screamed while he was launched to the floor. "You are too weak", a low voice said, "You need to try harder!"."B-but father I am trying my hardest!" Touya cried on the floor, "DON'T TALK BACK TO ME" Todoroki Enji screamed while he approached the boy to give him another hit. "STOP! YOU ARE HURTING HIM" Rei intervened, while she ran to hug her son. "Rei, get out of here you are getting in the way of our training", the red-haired man said with anger in his voice. "He is only a kid, this is not training you are just beating him to death" she cried. "ENOUGH", he kicked her to get her out of the way. "Mom!" the boy cried seeing his mother on the floor. "YOU MONSTER!" he spat while punching his father with all his strength." That's what I am talking about Touya, keep it like that", the tall man said with enthusiasm.

The training was over and Touya was in his room crying, he couldn't take it anymore he needed to get out of that hell. He hated his father, he hated him with all his guts. That's when he had an idea, he was going to run away, he felt terrible because he was going to break the promise he made with Haru, but he needed to escape as soon as possible. He knew he was going to die soon if he continued to live there. Then that night he gathered his things in a backpack and left the house. He went to a river near his house and put some of his clothes there so people will think he drowned and they won't look for him. "Finally freedom", he thought while he was walking to the unknown.

The next day the Todoroki family discovered that their eldest son was missing, everyone went to look for him, the police were searching the area until they found Touya's clothes near the river. Rei's heart shattered at that moment, she screamed at the top of her lungs, she didn't want to believe his baby was dead. Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Shouto were frozen, they didn't understand what was happening, and the head of the family, Enji, was nowhere to be seen.

That afternoon Haru returned home, she was happy because she was going to see Touya after a week, or at least that's what she thought. When she arrived all she saw were police cars around Todoroki's house. "What happened?" her mother said with a worried face, Haru had a weird feeling in her stomach, he felt uneasy. They quickly got out of the car and run to the house and there they saw the scene, Rei screaming at the top of her lungs, and Natsuo, Fuyumi, and Shouto crying, but Touya was nowhere to be seen. "Where is Touya?".

The police closed the case after months of searching, they didn't found a body, however, the police close the case because it was a waste of time to look for a body in a river like that. Todoroki Touya was officially dead, but there was something in Haru's heart that told her he wasn't dead, she could not accept it. She felt empty, her best friend was gone, yes she had Fuyumi and Natsuo), they were close, but not the same as Touya. Haru tried her best to be there for them. Todoroki's family was shattered, after Touya's death, Enji didn't say anything about the matter, he just started to train little Shouto the same way he trained Touya. Shouto was 6 years old, he was a perfect mix of his parents, his hair was half white half red, his father was very proud of him, but he was suffering the same as Touya, or worst. Rei entered a serious depression, Haru's mom tried to help her, but when she poured boiling water into Shoutos face, she knew she couldn't much, she was sent to a mental hospital and Shouto haven't seen her since.
