Chapter 1: A Sandy Place

After a long ride in the Tank with panam and the Aldecaldos you all decide to take a break and grab some sleep

"Hey Panam how long will it take before we reach our new home?" Said V tiredly.

" I'm not sure, but we maybe should take a break, it's been hours and i need to eat and maybe sleep a little!" said Panam.

" it sounds good to me, and i'm really tired!" said V thinking about all the things that happened since the beginning.

**Panam took her phone and dialed the others traveler to ask them what they wanted to do**

"Panam we were only on the road for like a few hours, you really want to take a break right now!" asked one of the Aldecaldos.

"few hours yeah exactly it's been twelve hours, you dollophead!" Panam laughed ironically at her phone.

"Come on guys, she's right let us take a break our car will not make it till the end at this rate and I can see a good and flat place in the distance, let's just set a few tente and a campfire!" said Mitch on the other end of the phone.

"Yeah sounds good,we are behind you!" said Panam hanging the phone' she then turned to V who seemed in a daze.

"V!!" said panam trying to attract the attention of v.

" hmm?" V said cutting his thoughts.

"Can you connect to the tank and set it to manual control, we will take a break." said Panam who was directly looking in his eyes.

** v connected the manual control of the tank and looked back at panam**

"stop next to the others cars." said Panam

**the tank stopped right next to the other who were already setting the camp**

"Nice, let's get out and look around, see if we can help setting everythings." said panam still looking at V.

"great..still a typical badland place..." said V sarcastically

"what did you expect?" panam looked at v in a neutral way.

"something less....desert like." said v

**panam started to laugh out loud**

"well mister, you should have known that the badlands around night city are huge and it will take days before we get out of them!" sad panam with a little smile.

"well. i'm ready for everything!" said V.

" Hey V what do you think of the trip so far?" said mike

"Well..not bad so far, it's..new!" told V to mike.

" i'm glad to hear that, could you help to build the campfire? the others are already setting the tents and the futons, so can you take care of the fire so panam and myself could take care of the food!" asked mike to V.

"sure we can use the dry and dead trees to make the fire!" told v who was already looking around to search the wood they could use.

**v was searching the woods when a flashback came just before his eyes, a memory he will cherish all his life**

***flashback***

**v was looking at him, when he was looking at is lover sleeping peacefully he thinked that if the world was destroying itself right now he would not care, if he had a gun in his temple he wouldn't give a damn because he would have loved the most beautiful person in the entire world, that's exactly what he thought when the sunrise hit the perfect shape of the face of kerry who had the most peaceful face he ever seen and he loved him even more and thought that he was the luckiest person in the world...**

**meanwhile panam and mitch were talking and preparing the foods but panam was a bit puzzled so she turned to mitch**

"you know...now that we are free , i'm relieved but i can see that they're a problem with V" said panam will cutting vegetables

**why said mitche still preparing the meat not looking at panam**

"he looked...off when we were driving out of night city!" told panam.

" he is maybe just overwhelmed about all the things that happened the last few weeks with Jonnhy and the relics, speaking of Silverhand, what happened to him?" asked mitch curious

"I'm not hundred percent sure but from what I know he got uploaded and merged in a IA called Alt in the Arasaka tower!" said Panam

"well it's beyond my knowledge but i'm just glad that V is still with us!" told mitch

"alive for now but he told me that he got only a few months left..but we shouldn't think about that right now, we will not give up and we will find a solution for this problem later but....i don't know what's happening in his head!" said panam

"You remember that guy who came just before we leave?" said Mitch will looking at panam.

"You mean..Kerry?" said panam looking straight to his eyes.

"Yeah, Him! his conversation with V didn't seemed to end very well!"

"V only mentioned it very shortly but yeah seems like Kerry is still busy in nightcity and left V alone, he must be really disappointed and maybe..lost?" said the woman

"love can be a bitch sometimes but we need to not think about it and walk forward!" told the man

**V was cut in his flashback by a tumbleweed, he looked to all the wood he got and decide it was clearly enough for the fire so he got back to the camp**

" gosh V i think we need that much wood" laughed Panam

"well better to much than less, let's make the fire and lit it and enjoy the first night of our freedom" said V.

" the others should be done by now!" told mitch to the two.

**panam screamed for them to came back and start to eat since mitch started cooking everything after V lit the fire**

~one hour later~

"I think i will go to sleep now, where is my futon?" asked V before yawning.

" V wait a moment, me and panam decided you should sleep in the tank for the night, it's like way more comfortable than a futon, so here take a blanket and a pillow if you want!" said mitch who handed a pillow and a blanket to v who took them before asking to panam.

"are you sure about that?"

"Stop asking questions and go to sleep already, we take care of everything!" told the woman to V.

"ok, thanks mom I'm gonna go to sleep like the good boy I am!" said V who had a huge grin on his face before going in the tank with his pillow and blanket.
