Those Three Words

Part One - The Interview

Your POV
You pour yourself a cup of tea and walk into your living room. You place it on the coaster and pick up the controller to turn on the Jimmy Fallon show. Tom had said he was going to be on and you weren't going to miss it. You loved him but he didn't know and you were pretty sure he didn't love you back. But that wasn't going to stop you from supporting him. Jimmy say "our next guest is the amazing Tom Hiddleston". You pull your blanket up, pick up your tea and gently blow to cool it down.

Tom's POV
You sit down on the blue couch and pull your grey jacket down. You fix your glasses and look up at Jimmy. "It's lovely to have you on the show Tom", you reply "it's lovely to be here". You talk about your new movie coming out, Thor: Ragnarok. The audience are really excited to see you back as Loki and squeal with joy. A clip is shown of the movie and there is an applause of your role.

"Now, when we announced that you would be on the show we were inundated with messages and questions. But one question was asked the most." You readjust your glasses and reply "and what would that question be?". "We want to know, is there anything going on between you and Y/N?".

Your hands suddenly become really clammy and shaky. "Oh god" you exclaim, "this is going to make for an interesting phone call". You nervously laugh at that comment knowing that it was going to happen. "So Tom, how do you feel about Y/N?". You stare at the ground and then look back at Jimmy.

"Well Y/N and I have been friends for so many years, I think 5 years. It was 3 years ago, when we went to see Hamlet together as we love Shakespeare. I look to my right and see her with her mouth slightly ajar. She was staring intently at the performance on stage and was fiddling with her thumbs. That's when I knew that I loved her and this is the first she knows of this". The audience let out an awww at the story and you smile towards them.

You look over to Jimmy and he asks "Do you think she feels the same way?" You reply "the chances are she doesn't so I want to say to her" you look directly at the camera, "please don't let this effect our friendship". Jimmy says "I think she likes you back...we've all seen the photos". You reply saying "I hope so". The interview then ends with "thank you so much for coming on the show, after the break we'll have..." but you had stopped listening in pure terror of knowing that Y/N is watching

Y/N POV
You stare at your TV with your jaw dropped. Tom had just told the nation that he loved you, he had just told the world. You spill your tea on the blanket and look down. It started to burn so you scramble about moving the tea and cleaning yourself up.

You fix your hair into a messy bun and slide on your slippers. You walk into the kitchen and place the empty mug onto the counter. You walk back to your couch and collapse down onto it. You stare at the ceiling. Tom loved you, that's all you could think. You pick up your phone and stare at your contacts. Should you call him or should you wait for him to get back to talk to him, you question?
