A week has passed since you decided to move on from your feelings towards Iwa. Today at practice you watch the team as they prepare for their next game against Shiratorizawa, a seriously amazing team. While you watch the boys practice, Asuka waves you over so you decide to walk to the stands and sit next to her.

"How are you doing, Y/N?" she smiles as you sit beside her.

"I'm fine," you smile back politely. "Being a manager is hard work, but I'm getting used to it."

"I'm glad to hear that! Oh, but I've got to ask you something... Please don't stress about it out."

Yeah, like saying that doesn't stress me out at all.

"I'll try. What is it?" you ask.

"Matsukawa told me that the team's going to have a small party with Shiratorizawa tonight and we're both invited."

"Asukaaaa," you groan, telling her in your tone that you're not inclined to attend.

"Look, I understand if you don't want to go, but please consider it," she hums.

"Don't you think it would be weird if I did go? I haven't talked to Iwa since we made out last week and I'm trying to move past it..."

"I know, Y/N, but I don't think it would be weird. You are their manager after all. Besides, you can always just stay with Matsukawa and me!"

"Fine, I'll go but I know you and Matsukawa are just going to make out the whole time!" you laugh.

"Yeah," she whispers, "you do kinda have a point there."

"I don't really want to third wheel the two of-"

"I've got it," she interrupts, "we'll bring Kindaichi with us! I'm sure he will understand how you feel and stay with you. Bet he's going anyway."

"You want me to hang out with my cousin the whole time? I'll probably just see him at his house over the weekend anyway," you scoff.

"It's up to you, Y/N, but the boys are probably going to ask you to go after practice. You should try to make up your mind by then."

"Whatever, sure, I'm in. But you better make sure Yutaro goes with us so I'm not third wheeling."

"Yes! I will definitely do that for you! I can't wait!" Asuka squeals.

You sigh as you think about your last adventure to one of these parties. "Can you just try to make sure I don't blackout again like last time?"

"Sure," she giggles, "I'll make sure you remember when you flirt with Iwa this time."

"Not funny. I'm not going anywhere near Iwa tonight," you say to her, though it's more of a reassurance to your own mind.

"We'll see about that," she hums back.

"I'm serious, Asuka!" You say confidently before looking over at Iwa as he practices his receives. "I don't think I'd be able to talk to him anyway," you whisper.

"You don't have to talk to him," she says almost uncharacteristically mature-like. "Just don't do anything silly like ignore him if he comes up to you."

"Asuka," you ask, almost desperate to change the subject away from your crippling love life.  "How are things with Matsukawa?"

"Ugh don't get me started," she sighs, "We still haven't done it!"

"What's he waiting for?" you scoff. "It's not like he's waiting to make it a big deal or anything, right?"

"I don't think so," she replies a bit disappointedly. "To be honest I have no idea what he's waiting for. We're always together, but it's not going anywhere new."
