Yurio's PoV

Money. People love money. It makes the world go round. If anyone says, "money can't buy happiness" they've been poor all of their miserable life. People who say fake, fluffy shit like that are the worst kind of people. They make serial killers look like a joke. But really, money can buy anything. Safety, Love, Happiness. It can even buy respect. Respect that I deserve from all these low life pigs in the world.

I need to earn respect from Victor. I want more respect from our underlings than him. He's been making himself look like a fool with that little slut he's been waltzing around with. I heard our subordinates talking about how he's been slacking off lately.

I made sure to teach them a lesson they would never forget. However that doesn't change the fact that what I'm doing is almost the same as Victor. If I wasn't doing this undercover I would probably be hanging out with Beka every day.

I growled softly as I thought about him. Something about him... He was so mesmerizing to me. He made me want to be good and clean up my act. Another part of me knew that could never happen though. 'Don't be ridiculous' it said 'You're way too deep in this hellhole to ever hope to crawl out.'

I know that of course. I know that too well. After all I'm addicted to this adrenaline.

I heard a ping from my burner. It was an address.

Those damn rats are about to pay.

Their hideout was nothing more than a warehouse under the guise of a company that makes refrigerators. I shouldn't have been too surprised honestly. How else would they get big packages in an out without it being suspicious?

I had climbed up to the roof of the neighboring building to scope out the building.  With jobs like this a mask comes in handy to obscure your features. Cameras pick up a lot but not enough that they can ID you with only half of your face. Modern tech keeps evolving though. Some day even masks won't be enough to save you.

The information I got from researching the shits that stole from us told me that they were all shareholders of this "refrigerator" company. Three business men that sold drugs on the side? I wasn't buying that they were all equally distributing the profit. There's always one that keeps the others in check. Luckily, I knew enough about his whereabouts from my subordinate's research I could assassinate him now.

People think that Assassins use snipers to kill their enemies silently. This is only half true. Snipers on their own are too loud. It wasn't made to be silent in the first place. So you have to make it that way.

"We're in position to infiltrate." I heard over my radio.

"Shit-"

I forgot about them.

"On my signal, break in and destroy as much as possible." I said over the radio lining up my shot. I could see him, scribbling at his desk.

My heart was pounding with excitement making my palms start to sweat. I quickly made sure my line was perfect before I pulled the trigger. There was a quick zip noise as the bullet shot him in the heart.

I laughed softly, licking my lips.

"Wreck 'em." I said through the radio.

I watched as I heard gunshots and screaming from the street below. Packing up the sniper that had been set up for me I armed the bomb on the case throwing it as hard as I could onto the roof of the "refrigerator" company. I made my way down the building and blended into panicked crowd resisting a laugh when I heard the bomb explode.

There were loud sirens approaching in the distance and the crowd dispersed to let cop cars and ambulances through. I could have sworn I saw Beka as I rushed past but I didn't dare look back.

Ducking into an alleyway I pulled out my phone dialing Victor's number. As always, he picked up on the first ring, "It's done." I said hearing a hum on the end of the line and two taps of a pen. I hung up and smiled. This secret system we had let me know he was proud of me.

I sighed and beamed at the sky leaning my back against the brick wall. I couldn't help the giggle that erupted from my body as I thought about how could payback had felt. "I hope there were no pedestrian casualties." I mumbled to myself closing my eyes.

"Yura-"

My eyes widened as I heard the nickname and familiar tone of voice. My body felt cold and rigid. Against my will I felt my body turn my head to the person standing in front of the alley entrance who had on a police officer uniform.

"Yura... "

Aaaaah! It's been years since I wrote another chapter from this. For a long time I didn't have enough space on my phone for Wattpad so I had gotten rid if it. Lately I've been feeling really down in the dumps too so maybe when I have down time and I'm bored I'll write for this book that for some reason has so many likes???? See you all soon. Ciao!
