Swallows

The dagger and the rose,

the compass and the boat.

Far apart, yet very close,

"I can't change," he wrote.

The butterfly and the words,

the anchor and the rope.

 A cage without any birds.

Its art that brings hope.

The oops and the hi,

the arrow and the heart.

Swallows should be free to fly.

Both in real life,

And in art.
