                                                           Sunset kiss.

Heat pressed down on my back as my feet pounded across the sand, causing the small grains to dance in the air before landing further away.

I could already feel the beads of sweat forming on my forehead and my hair was becoming knotted against the cool wind that was blowing. A smile curved my lips as music flowed through my mind and body, making every step I took feel all the more easier.

The pier started to draw closer and I knew I had to slow down otherwise I'd trip over the unsuspecting rocks. When I reached the shadowed area of the beach I slowed down to a slow jog before stopping completely, my arms going behind my head to get air into my lungs.

After I took my head phones out and wound them around my iPod I looked around at the small amount of people sitting in the shadows, not wanting to be burned by the harsh midday sun.

"Heads up!"

I was fast at running but my reaction time wasn't that great, I had to admit.

The Frisbee hit my forehead as I spun around, making me stumble backwards and onto the sand, the water just pressing against my back before moving back out to sea.

"I'm sorry!"

A little boy came running towards me and stopped just before he nearly toppled over me. His bright blue eyes stared at me as he moved his mouth, obviously trying to form something to say.

Shaking myself out of it, I stood up and smiled down at the little boy. "I'm fine, don't worry about it."

"You're bleeding," a voice commented and I stared at the young boy in front of me, wondering how he spoke without moving his mouth then I realised there was an older version of him standing to my side. "The Frisbee must have caught you."

Lifting my fingers to my forehead I realised the guy was right; I was bleeding and I suddenly felt faint.

I could run fast, I had slow reaction time and I wasn't so good with blood.

"Do you need to sit down?" he asked, his eyes taking in my queasy expression.

Before I could respond I felt my body swaying, and I was falling backwards, unable to stop my body from disobeying me.

The last thing I heard was the little boy's frantic voice, "oh God, have I killed her?"

"Sleeping beauty, wake up."

My eyebrows furrowed at the childish voice and I peeked through my lashes to see a blonde haired boy leaning over me, his face close to my own - so close that I screamed.

The little blue eyed blonde haired boy stumbled back in surprise before he shouted out for another person but I couldn't hear it over my own blood pulsing in my ears.

"Hey, are you okay?"

A bottle of water appeared in front of my face then another new face.

"Uh, yes?" I answered uncertainly and took the water from him just so it wouldn't be dangled in my face any longer. "What happened?"

"You got hit with a Frisbee," he told me, sitting down on the sand next to me, his eyes squinting to look at my forehead. "You fainted when I told you about the blood."

"Why am I laying in the sand?" I asked, slowly sitting up and gently prodding the spot I felt the tingling in. I muttered an ouch before dropping my hand and looking at the guy. "Shouldn't you have at least called someone if I fainted?"
