"What are you doing?" അവൻ ചോദ്യഭാവത്തിൽ എന്നെ നോക്കി. "നീ ഇന്നലെ എന്റെ കാൽ മുറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ എന്തു ചെയ്തോ അത് തന്നെ..." ഇതും പറഞ്ഞു ഞാൻ ഞാൻ അവന്റെ കൈ തട്ടി മാറ്റി. എന്തു പറ്റി എന്നറിയില്ല. പിന്നീട് അവൻ ഒന്നും പറയാതെ നല്ല കുട്ടിയായി ഇരുന്നു തന്നത് കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അത്ഭുതത്തോടെ അവനെ നോക്കി. "ഓക്കെ done..." ഞാൻ അവന്റെ നെറ്റിയിലു...

ഞാൻ അമ്മീയുടെ മുഖത്തേക്ക് നോക്കി, അമ്മിയുടെ കണ്ണുകളിൽ സന്തോഷം കാണാൻ എനിക്ക് സാധിച്ചില്ല... "ഞാൻ.... ഞാൻ എടുത്ത തീരുമാനം തെറ്റാണോ???" ഞാൻ എന്നോട് തന്നെ സ്വയം ചോദിച്ചു. ആ മുഖം മനസ്സിലേക്ക് വന്നപ്പോൾ തീരുമാനം തെറ്റായി തോന്നിയില്ല... എന്നാലും...
