When Skeleton King's latest attack brings 13-year old Dani Tsukimoto into the Hyperforce's line of sight, it immediately raises suspicion. While most of the team is immediately trusting of her, Antauri & Gibson are suspicious of her intentions. As they learn more about Dani, those suspicions increase. While fighting the newly resurrected Skeleton King Chiro is captured, turned into a robot monkey, and imprisoned in a strange dimension. There he finds a secret that Skeleton King has been keeping hidden for years and hopefully find a way to escape and tell the rest of the team.

Because of the dark ones' orders and for his sadistic pleasure, Skeleton King aims to turn Chiro to the dark side, deciding to 'adopt' him. Once he gets separated from the monkey team, Chiro will have to hold onto good and Antauri's memory, all the while trying to fight conflicted feelings. Does Skeleton King really care for him? Or is it all a ruse?
