A short time ago, there was dimension filled with wonderful magic. But then, darkness came into power and the great battle began. An army of the undead swarmed over the land. When all hope seemed to be lost, a team of chivalrous wizards came forth. The undead army set their sights on the human world. The bravest wizard of them all cast a spell which sealed the evil in the depths of the underworld. The humans were never aware of the sacrifice. In the present, five sixth-graders, Lime Chiffon, Orange Blossom, Blueberry Muffin, Lemon Meringue and Strawberry Shortcake are about to have another good day in Big Apple City when suddenly an earthquake happens, releasing the forces of darkness that invaded the magical dimension. The girls come across an old man who asks for help locating someone in the nearby forest. But the Big Apple City citizens are superstitious about the woods, and the only one brave enough to volunteer is Lime, who doesn't believe superstitions. Strawberry and the others join her, not wanting to be shown up by an outsider. The girls go into the dimension and meet the sorceress Pralinetta, who tells the rangers that their world is under attack and they are the only ones who can stop the forces of darkness led by the dark wolf wizard, Koragg. She gives the girls new magical powers, complete with spell wands, magical staffs, and the ability to become a mecha warrior known as "Titan". Together, with their newfound powers, Lime, Lemon, Strawberry, Blueberry and Orange will become the POWER RANGERS MYSTIC FORCE!
