I've fought long and hard, through things I should've died from, and I've been saved by many miracles. Yet... yet I'm still here, fighting every day just to stay alive. I think I've had enough... I want some rest from this sickness plaguing me... I'm sorry Jayfeather, but I can't keep going any longer, I've tried for so long. (Minor Briarfeather)

Previously named "Boring Office Work" in my Warriors Human Short stories book. "Her Second Chance" is about Cynthia (Cinderheart) after having been mistreated from when she was teenager up to just a few years ago. She's okay with her life, happy with her career, avoiding virtually every person of the opposite gender, and finding herself jolting awake at night from nightmares plaguing her into silent exhaustion. To be honest she's actually falling apart but refuses to tell anyone, taking her own burden and shouldering it every day until her best friend's younger brother enters the picture. Who is he? And why won't he leave her alone? All she wanted was a quiet life with her son and keeping one step ahead of organized crime. Or did she? She could've sworn that's all she wanted until her broke through her walls and she found herself drawn toward him without her permission.

Jay feather and Briarlight are two cats of Thunderclan (The Warriors Series by Erin Hunter). Jay feather is a blind medicine cat, and Briarlight is a warrior who lost the use of her hind legs (they got crushed by a tree). They spend a lot of time together, and though Jayfeather wants to be with someone different, that someone is like a million years older than him, and is also dead. So HA.

Yet another human Warriors collection. However, this one altogether is in one world. This collection is snippets and pieces of this particular Warriors High School world, where Briarlight's a runner, Jayfeather's flat out blind, Lionblaze is a "perfect" Jock, Cinderheart's unable to use one arm, and there's a set of complicated relationships, feelings, and other high school related drama.
