Childhood tooth shaming influenced a lifelong impact of social exclusion. A trauma that showed up in the workplace as a seasoned adult brought me back to third grade by a coworker who relentlessly gaslighted me. At fifty, I have decided that this monster under the rug cannot dictate the rest of my life, so I choose to let me teach me how to live a fuller life.
