Catherine, the soon-to-be Queen of Heatrs, is about to marry the King of Hearts to get what she most desires; revenge on Peter Peter for killing Jest. But, with the help of a rebel teenage Rook from Chess, Cath comes to see that sometimes all is not as it seems. Did Time answer her desperate calls? Will she find happiness again? Can a broken heart heal? We will see... The ending to Heartless killed me. I couldn't just sit back and watch Cath throw away her life, her potential and her love. Does she really have to give up her heart to get what she wants? Maybe not.

This is an alternate ending to Heartless by Marrissa Meyer and does have spoilers, happy ending. these are not my characters but Marrissa Meyers.

She waited for several seconds before she felt the figure leaning in, bringing their lips close to her ear. Catherine held in a breath and felt every muscle in her body tense. "Hi, Cath." Or Nine years later, after she became the Queen of Hearts, Catherine Pinkerton has been having strange dreams recently.

Cath is forced into a courtship with the king, heartbroken over her own dreams she is drawn towards the warm lemon eyes of the kings own Joker. (I do not own Alice in wonderland, Heartless or any of the characters. They belong to Marissa Meyer & Lewis Carroll)

Many of you have probably already read the story Heartless by Marissa Meyer. While it was a good book and brought me to tears many times, I believe that there is another way to end the book (plus a part 2) anyway, here goes: Wonderland is a place where anything can be possible. Although that may not be the case after Jest's true love is taken away from him by the Jabberwock, a creature that has been terrorizing the kingdom of Hearts. After Cath is pronounced dead, Jest returns to his homeland, Chess, with his mission incomplete. Jest must earn his way back up to Rook, while Cath finds herself in a new world, with no recollection of her past. When Cath finally returns to Wonderland, it is uncertain if this love will remain in tact or if they will both become loveless. All characters in this story belong to Marissa Meyer, the author of Heartless. And wonderland belongs to Lewis Carroll
