15-year-old Erik Morris is beginning his freshman year of high school at The Ducharme School: a specialty school, following being held back the previous year due to struggles with learning disabilities. Despite initially feeling entirely alone, Erik stumbles across deaf classmate, Leo Soluri, who he quickly begins to feel close to--despite their language barriers--forming a connection like he has never before experienced.

Amaya Venkatesh had had enough of the university. The people, the subjects and most of all the drama. Specifically, the boy drama. But then she became a debtor for churros. 10 churros to be exact. And indebted to her was one of the most sought bachelors on campus- Kim Min-hyuk aka Mars. Min-hyuk has decided to pay his debt one churro at a time. "why are you even following me? Why are you so adamant? It's just churros," I folded my hands and sighed, "I waive off your debt." Then I waved my hand in the air to give him a visual cue. His eyes tracked the movement of my hands and he smiled, "no can do." I blinked, "what?" "no can do." His smile widened, "you see, I have a crush on you. And I'm determined to see the end of it. Either you hate me or I end up liking you a lot." He straightened up, drummed a beat on the table enthusiastically, and said, "can you deal with it?"
