Being different from other people can be challenging. Sometimes individuals find themselves on the outside looking in, because they are considered strange or unusual. These outsiders face unique challenges. Particularly for young people, it can leave them feeling jaded and disillusioned. In an uncaring world, how does one feel proud about who they are? Set during the decade of the nineteen nineties, this is a Generation X version of the Dazzler story. Born with the uncanny ability to convert sound waves into light and project that light into various forms, Alison Blaire is a mutant. This makes her a force to be reckoned with as well as an entertaining performer. However, she will soon discover the challenges of being different. The world is changing. Recently, it has become public knowledge that mutants exist. Individuals with uncanny powers and abilities walk among normal humans. Video footage showing a girl in Illinois walking through a wall has garnered the attention of the entire world. Now, these mutants are considered different and dangerous. One of these individuals, members of the homosuperior race, is pop singer Alison Blaire. Soon after recording her first ever studio album, the talented young singer hits the road. Her tour is the experience of a lifetime filled with incredible memories. Making a connection with her growing number of fans, Alison is on the brink of stardom at a time when depressing grunge music is all the rage. The message of her music is pure positivity. Light and love. But just when everything in Alison's life seems perfect, her secret threatens to ruin it all. Can mutants ever thrive in American society?
