Alexandria is a fifteen year old girl with a mind away in a far far Galaxy. It seems as though nothing in her life could go right. She starts writing to her enemy, depression, hoping that it might relieve some of this pain she is feeling. (My story is fictional though most of the thoughts and feelings Alexandria is having come from my own tormenting mind. Thank you to anyone who reads this story.)

DEPRESSION IS A MENTAL illness ALL GO THROUGH

Dear Depression, No one can truly understand this twisted romance we are entangled in. A sick poly marriage we have with the ones you convinced me would protect me. You are no demon like my mother claims, nor are you a proof of my strength that my father has implied. My brother, try as he might, has ended up harming our relationship in an attempt to understand us. I have grown so attached to you, I must have you near to feel at peace. Your harsh words and cold touch make my heart at ease; because I know that there is only one of you that belongs entirely to me. MY version of you, where you will only infect MY thoughts alone. I have fallen in love with the thought of you but I cannot tell you, because then you might leave me. I don't want you to go, but every day you hurt me. I can deal with it, I know everything you do is out of love...

Inspired by the idea behind the movie "Collateral Beauty". These are my letters to the Universe. I'll write to my mental disorders, and some other things when inspired to do so. [Warning: I have a bad habit of swearing.]

My new contest! THE RULES ARE HERE! Due to the recent increase in teenagers and adults who have depression, I have decided to start a contest for writers to create a story of a character who suffers from depression but overcomes it, proves themselves, and ends with a happy ending. I just want to prove that anyone can have a happy ending, even with depression! Remember everyone is worth something!

One day is all it takes to change your course of life. It took me one mental breakdown to realize that I may never find happiness, that I'm scared, and that I'm lost. Note 1: This story is not a fictional story about romance or the one love that takes away all the pain from a mental illness. This story is about a mental illness that is taking away happiness. Note 2: First story. Going to continue writing. Don't expect it to be perfect.
