The Indian monsoon, a lifeline for millions in South Asia, is a complex phenomenon influenced by various factors. While El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) often takes center stage, the Indian Ocean Dipole UPSC also plays a crucial role in shaping the monsoon's intensity and distribution. Understanding the IOD is essential for UPSC aspirants, particularly in the context of GS Paper I (Geography) and GS Paper III (Environment, Security & Disaster Management).

A radio antenna with two conducting components is known as a dipole. The components are typically parallel to each other and constructed of metal. An electrical signal is sent into the two components, which produces an electromagnetic field that radiates outward. Typically, an element's length is equal to half of the wavelength of the signal it is transmitting or receiving. We have some best Antennas like, Bowtie Dipole Antenna, Folded Dipole Antenna, Military Log Periodic Dipole Antenna and Half Wave Dipole Antenna. view: https://www.antennaexperts.co/blog/all-you-need-to-know-about-the-folded-dipole-antenna

The stressful, hilarious, drama-filled diary about Drama Llama High. There's obviously fights, "pain", and always a reason to be mad. Luckily there is never a dull moment to have a normal school life with no drama at this school.
  • What is The Difference Between a Loop Antenna and a Folded Dipole Antenna? by gurleennayar

A loop antenna consists of a closed loop of wire or conductor. When an RF signal passes through the loop, it induces a current in the conductor. This current, in turn, radiates an electromagnetic wave. Compact size, good efficiency at lower frequencies, and can be easily mounted in various orientations. May have lower gain compared to dipole antennas, especially at higher frequencies. A folded dipole antenna consists of two parallel conductors connected at their ends. One of the conductors is fed, while the other acts as a parasitic element. The parasitic element extends the antenna's effective length and improves its impedance matching to the feedline. Higher input impedance, improved bandwidth, and better efficiency compared to a simple dipole. May be slightly larger and more complex to construct than a loop antenna. view: https://www.antennaexperts.co/blog/what-is-the-difference-between-a-loop-antenna-and-a-folded-dipole-antenna

Whip/Monopole Antenna It works for narrow range and can be collapsible. Used on small radios and vehicles. Dipole Antenna Two Monopoles facing away from each other. It Used to create a powerful signal in a restricted space. Yagi Antenna Ideal for long distance range and directional applications. Can reach multiple frequencies. Loop Antenna Works like a Dipole and can reach multiple frequencies. And most commonly used for TV and RFID Systems. Bowtie Antenna Another type of Dipole. Angles can be set to work well with different frequencies. Dish Antenna Large surface space collects a lot of signal. Works well for high frequencies, TV and sound.
