(ONGOING) In every fantasy adventure, the powerful, interesting creatures are the most prominent in the story. I mean, how many books have you read in which the main character is "special" or a key part of some prophecy? Well, this book gives the underdogs a chance at fame. In this story, all the players have a shot. Even a poor human girl with no purpose but to scrub the floors and hang the laundry, or a mangy puppy bound to alleyways and handouts, or a cast of other characters hidden in plain sight. Take the girl and the dog, for example. They gather up their perpetually boring lives and launch them into action, on a quest that may forever change them and even their kingdom. Not because they're special, but because they simply can. *** This is the story of Esme and Honey. I'm totally pantsing this book, so feel free to help me with grammar/spelling and plot holes.
