DISCLAIMER: This is the first half of a novel I tried to write when I was twelve. That was quite a few years ago now, and I feel like this book is pretty cringey, but I wanted to publish it anyway, so people could look back and see how my writing has developed! (: - Phoenix Weatherby, a mischievous orphan with a strange, sun-shaped birthmark on her wrist, has spent her entire life living at St. Roger's Home for Unwanted Children. But then, on her thirteenth birthday, Phoenix seizes an opportunity to escape from the orphanage once and for all. What follows is a shocking revelation about her past and a journey to defeat an evil greater than she will ever know . . .
