"Auntie May, please don't leave me here. I'm scared." I begged, with tears threatening to fall down my cheeks. Not that she would've noticed. We were standing outside the door of my new dorm, with roommates waiting inside. New people. I just couldn't handle meeting new people. It was scary and I knew they would judge me. I was always being judged by strangers on the street and often hear their whispers. "It's a freak!" "Is it Halloween already?" "Only weirdos and ugly people hide their face." My depressing thoughts were interrupted by my auntie. "Everything will be fine darling. Aren't you looking forward to meeting new people and making some friends?" Auntie May sighed after my silence; knowing my answer. She knew I had no friends and had no intention on making any. ~~~~ Noah Stevens is an extremely shy 16 year old who hides her face behind a mask. What happens when she is forced to live the next school year with three guys she's never met before? Will she be able to open up or learn to love herself, and maybe even take off her mask....?

Harper Adams has always been the unbeliever out of all her friends. No, not friends. Just desperate girls who want to get at Harper's boyfriend, Dylan Merch, the school's most prized quarterback. So after finding him kissing another girl, she breaks up with him and dates his very best friend, Parker Harrison and starts taking more risks. That's why, when her only true friend, Sara Fields, buys a Ouija board from a vintage store, she volunteers to play even though she doesn't believe in it. So naturally, when Sara asks a question and it spells out Harper's name, she thinks someone moved it. But when she finds out that the board was telling the truth, will Harper do something about it or just continue being the same ignorant, unbelieving girl as before? This might not be scary, so, yea, sorry if it isn't. I DID get the idea from the first book in the Mara Dyer series when they played with the Ouija board with Rachel and Claire, but IT IS NOT THE SAME THING. Not tryin' to copy Michelle H.

Artists are some of the harshest self-critics. My very close friend is a great example of that and I guess in some ways this short ("short" being the overstatement of the decade) story was written for her. That's her on the cover, actually.
