In a future where the world has rebuilt itself after collapse, society is controlled by powerful biotech corporations that have normalized human cloning. The population is divided between wealthy "Originals," who live in comfort and power, and cloned humans who are engineered for labor, obedience, and replacement. The system is presented as progress, but beneath its polished surface lies deep inequality and quiet cruelty. Victoria Fisher appears to be an elite Original-wealthy, respected, and perfectly integrated into the social order. Publicly she supports the system, attending galas and repeating the rhetoric of genetic superiority. Privately, however, she is deeply disturbed by the treatment of clones and struggles with a growing sense that something about her own life doesn't quite fit. When the government announces mandatory genetic screenings for all citizens, Victoria's calm façade begins to crack. Her intense, inexplicable fear of the test leads her to question everything she thought she knew about herself-her memories, her past, and her place in society. As strange dreams and missing memories surface, Victoria begins to investigate the truth behind her identity and the powerful corporation that controls the world around her. What she uncovers forces her to confront not only the hidden foundations of the clone-based society, but also the terrifying possibility that her own life may be built on secrets she cannot escape.

A Utopia where there are no problems or issues; paradise . Everything is perfect, white picket fences, friendly neighbors, colorful and happy, an ideal dream world. Except its completely the opposite. All drugs are illegal and involvement with them is a capitol crime. To every normal, bland person, this is no price to pay for the perfect world they live in. But the true reasoning as to why drugs are illegal is because they open the eyes of the user and reveal what life, the world, and everything is truly like. The dictator of this twisted lie has created a false paradise to hide what everything truly is: messed up, odd and completely disorganized. Four people will stand up to the governments' iron grip in an attempt to reveal the truth and free the world of the evil that sedates it.

When a Luminary is born, the world reacts. A flash of unnatural light. A sign from the heavens. A child destined to be chosen. At least, that's what they told me. I grew up believing my power was a gift-proof that I was special. That obedience was honor. That being watched meant I was protected. When they finally took me, I thought it was the beginning of my purpose. I was wrong. I died once for them. They praised me for it. When I woke again, I thought I had regressed. I thought I had escaped. I even thought I had finally gone home-only to find everything in ruins and learn, too late, that freedom had been allowed... not earned. That was when they killed me again. This time, I woke up younger. Twelve years old. The day before they chose me. Now I know the truth: my life wasn't stolen-it was designed. The village. The escape. Even my deaths were part of something far larger than I ever imagined. And the light that marked my birth? It wasn't a blessing. It was a warning. This time, I won't obey. This time, I'll break the system that raised me.

A dystopian short story of how humans kill the Earth so much that it kills themselves. Read to find out more. Yes I know the story is short - hence the nickname "short story" - but it's complete and worth reading. ASMTB#2 means this is my second assignment book/this was a creative writing assignment for school.

Life is tough on Neo-Earth, but that's okay because we'll get through it together. These characters are just trying their best to live their lives in Neo-Virginia with other characters that are either pre-existing from other works of fiction or just people who exist in real life after their homes had to be evacuated because of the deconstruction from war and Bat Flu/Starbo Virus Epidemic.
